Last weekend, Valentino Rossi brought a ton of colour and a different class of racing pedigree to the Monza Rally Show. The Doctor lit the place up with some spectacular performances behind the wheel and had the tens of thousands packed into the grandstands jumping all weekend long. Outside the garage for his 3 car team, fans paid tribute to their icon and created an atmosphere unlike any other he had raced in this season.
Around the Monza circuit he was consistently able to mix it up with the very best and managed to grab 2 stage wins of his own. Thanks to the participation of a certain Sebastien Loeb the top of the timesheets were often dominated by the 8 times champion, but Valentino put together brutally fast and eye catching performances. On the back of 3 days worth of intense driving and thanks to his 2 wins, only 24 seconds separated the guys and VR stood proud on second spot on the podium ahead of other WRC greats. The pair later duked it out in the final of the Masters Show (head to head knockout race) with Valentino making his only error of the weekend and taking his second podium.
