Volvo 340

without to many probs the 1.7 "B172" for more power then the 2.0 B200f efi from the GLT 115bhp when new then there the b230ft Swap
All are going from easiest to the hardest imo but you could also put in a 1.4T form a Renault5 with loom

the 1.7 and the 2ltr will add some fun with a welded diff but the 2.3 turbo needs work with engine to gearbox drive train with fly wheel pressure/ driven plate combos then you need to add the jetronic ems

Right I was looking more towards the 1.4t out of the Renault 5, as they seem the easiest to swap. With them running with a carb, and the engine a based on the same block.

The only problem is finding one that comes with everything like turbo ect.

I think if that was to be put in and set up with a welded, should be enough power to get sideways.

1.7 engine is equally as easy just need the bell housing and ancillaries from the 1.7, i did this to my own one when i was 17, got the swap done and running in a day no problem with plenty hours to spare.
if you got the stuff minus the engine to swap to 1.7 you could fit a 1.8 16v out of a r19 or clio 16v just as easily

also to swap to b19, b200 and b230 will be pointless as you will have to replace the running gear also as 360's have different prop, bellhousing, loom etc as they are mostly injection so you would be cheaper and easier just buying a 360.

just a quickie B200 b230 also came in carb form in the 360,240,740 and 940 series upto a 90 imrc simple dizzy on the block with a K Cam rather than the slot on the back of the cam M ~Cam on the injection models there is also a mod with cam's from the non efi by slotting them to gain midrange power

All the b200 230 etc engines will be a pain cos the bellhousing/transmission is different , best option is Clio 16v either on bike carbs or stock efi , pound for power

1.4 turbo lump is good but needs to be built properly and maintained highly to stay golden
