Volvo 940 drift build

Hi guys, after selling my e36, I want to go the volvo way, so after looking at the ones for sale in my area, I found quite a few so I have some questions:

Will it be possible to push 300whp reliably out of a 2.4L diesel one? (D24 TIC)The one I found already has a bigger turbo, but the guy doesnt know what model, will keep you guys updated if he finds it, and would it be a good one? Compared to a 2L or 2.3L turbo one?

Or it will be a 2L B200FT, or B200E, so if i'm going that way, which one will be best? and how much could i push out of the stock turbo?

Also, if you guys know of any cheap but effective turbo kit and/or ecu in europe, i'd be interested, depending on which one i take

I'd be surprised if you can push 300+ out of a stock 2.4 Diesel with just a turbo upgrade. These engines only shipped with around 100bhp to begin with.

Can't remember what the stock turbo on the B20 can push, but I wouldn't fancy trying to find out with an older unit either. Assume the turbo needs to come off regardless, figure out if you're going to replace it with something or have it re-build and hybridised.

I dont plan on trying to push 300 with only a turbo upgrade, it is actually like that, but to push 300, I plan on changing the fuel pump, injectors and maybe an ecu

And when I take the turbo off, it will be to change it, dont wanna waste money on getting it rebuild when I can just put a bigger and more reliable one on
