this has been my daily since march and it has been super reliable, goes well and returns 50-60mpg all day long.
this example has only done 90k miles, if you search for these you will find most of them have done 150k+ its not rare to see ones with over 200k on the clock. the engines are indestructable.
its a 1995 m reg in light metallic blue paint.
it has a tow bar
3 former keepers
i have the original bill of sale in 1995 for £11886, i also have the original brochure lol
i have invoices totalling £2600 for work carried out in the past, including servicing done by vw for 5 years, then one other receipt for servicing by an independant garage.
it has a long MOT until AUGUST 2011
tax until march 2011
i have 13 previous mot certs
since i have owned it since march 2010, i have done the following
full service march 2010
new rear wheel bearings
front discs and pads
cambelt 1 month ago @89k
before the car sells it will also have a brand new pair of front shocks fitted as one is weeping slightly.
NO RUST ON THIS CAR, mk3 golfs all suffer from rusty underside and wheel arches, it needed 2 patches on the underside for the mot which have ben sorted obviously. no rust on the arches/body.
bad points
small chip in windscreen but passed mot etc
electric sunroof doesnt work
boot carpet is a bit mucky as i tend to use the car to move car bits about when needed.
the last mot it had a couple of advisorys but the mot tester was very harsh, i carry out mots every day for customers and checked the vehicle over before it went for mot and all was well.
he mentioned, rear trailing arm bushes detoriated, but still function as intend
front wishbone pins deteriated, but still function as intended
os rear brake pipe slightly corroded.
all of those advisorys are nonsense, all the bushes are fine, just slightly aged lol. none give any excessive movement etc and will be fine for the next mot and prob many after that lol.
brake pipe again is very slight surface rust, wont need doing for ages, and even if it does, will take all of an hour to do.
car drives perfectly, and pulls well.
legal tyres all round.
ready to drive away for easy cheap reliable motoring.
i see these sell for £1k all day long with 150k+ on the clock.
im after £1500ono
will get pics up once its been cleaned etc, very busy atm.
thanks
