Walbro 400/450lph pumps- Differences? How different in fitment to the 255?

As title really.

I'm currently rinsing the shit out my 255 with big thick power wires and things, and I think it's dying.

Is a 400lph or 450lph a straight swap (or near as damnit)? Aside from the 50lph, what's the difference between the two?

Cheers

Easy swap (just tie the pump to the hanger & do the wiring).
We can supply the male plugs if you don't want to splice the wiring for £17.

Difference is flow, 450 is a tiny bit bigger too, nothing major.

400
Flow Ltr/Hr (Max):- 510
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 3 Bar (44psi):- 390
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 5 Bar (73psi):- 285
Max Pressure (Bar):- 7.5

450
Flow Ltr/Hr (Max):- 516
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 3 Bar (44psi):- 420
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 5 Bar (73psi):- 390
Max Pressure (Bar):- 8.3

Phil uses the 450 in his JZX at 560HP, Greg loves them.

They arnt a straight swap in a lot of cases...

The 400lph one has a wider bottom than the 255lph pump.

Cool, easy swap then.
I don't wanna do any wiring, the car is likely to explode if I do.

Yup!

Either way you have to do wiring, just depends if you want to be able to unclip the pump easily or not.

Dale anyone with half a brain (Stav) can mount a slightly different pump no problem.
Doesn't get much easier than a Skyline hanger.

You're reading it wrong, I'm no having a go at you?!
Thanks for the picture BTW.

Yeah, it would be gash if you had to put it in a housing type hanger.
Or if you couldn't hang it off the bottom a bit.

Personally I'd just chop the bottom of the hanger off in that case.
Or make some spacers up if that wasn't an option :)

I'm confused, so the plug is different to the 255lph I currently have?

What where how what splice what eh?

Oh, I retract my above statement lol.
Yes the plug is different, you just have to join 2 wires mate :)

The pump has wires for power coming from it with a female plug.

You can either:

Cut that plug off, wire to power.
Buy the male plug, wire that to the power wiring and plug in.

Forget the plug and get a couple of insulated female spade connectors.. Positive is a 6mm spade and Negative is a 5mm.
