Want to get in drifting

Rear wheel drive car. Go from there.

Although there is an awesome bloke drifting a FWD Honda but I'm dubious to class it as actually drifting.
 
Money. and a rwd car.
If you have the ability to work on the car yourself ( for example change clutch, remove/install diff, installing suspension, work on the engine) you'll save yourself a good bit of money, but in the end you'll spend it all back in the car to remain sideways.

It's the most fun thing you can do in a car. period.
also, don't be afraid, just do it!
 
Step 1) Buy RWD car.
Step 2) Approach a corner at speed on the way home from purchase of said vehicle.
Step 3) Turn into the corner sharply and kick the clutch.
 
step 4)call reovery or tell yourself that you're a hero

Step 4.b) Call recovery / mate for a tow and/or bodge what you can with cable ties and try again.
