Wanted: Cheap or broken S14 gearbox

aaaagh kurashuuu!!!
As title... I actually only need the casing as I want to try to adapt a KA24DE gearbox to fit an SR so doesn't matter if it jumps out of gear, is jammed or completely buggered so long as the front half of the casing is okay :wack: Anyone got a knacked S14 box taking up valuable space? :wave: :D
 
By box is making all sorts of noises, so just hang around my car at rotorstock and im sure youll have something to take home with you :D
 
Eddie, I might be able to get my hands on my old S14 box if you're interested in a trip to the midlands?

I'm not sure if this swap is possible hence why I'm after a cheap box. The KA24DE box is the same model but has a very tall 5th gear of 0.759:1 compared to the stock box which I believe is 0.838:1 so I could run a low geared final drive but still keep the RPM sensible when cruising. All the other gear ratios are the same.
 
ok cool, I just called my gearbox guys and they're going to have a look and call me back if it's still knocking about but they reckon it's probably been skipped...... If they do find it, it's yours

si has a 14a one here that belonged to his mate, but not sure how much he wants for it..... send him a pm (and mitch, he's also got your one here too)

Is the S14a gearbox the same unit as the S14 one? MIssy, is the one Si has busted or is it okay?

I think Missy is on about a diff, Eddie. (Well, that's what Si has for me unless it's sprouted a few more gears:D) I think the gearbox/es he has are good ones, not duffers.
