Wanted Wanted Nissan 180 sx

They did in Japan, so you'd have to get an import. Might be worth speaking to Glen or one of the other importers here, although i wouldn't expect any change from 6 or 7k.

been gettin prices between £3000-£5000, with work done on em from japan, are they any good, compared to the uk spec 200 sx???

They are better than UK spec and you have a choice of engines 1.8 or 2.0 (that year is gonna be a 2.0) but for that money (3-5k) you will prob end up with something that is either a) needing some major mechanical work like an engine rebuild or b) had a hard life as a drift car and have a few 'scars'. Personally, I would stretch/wait and spend 6k+ and get soemthing PUKKA

Two things to consider

Firstly you wont get a 180sx made in '96 through the esva.

Secondly you wont get a 180sx made in '96 for £3-5k landed with anything other than some stickers fitted.

Speak to Glen about what cars you CAN get for that budget - and expect a bit of a shock !!

:D :D :D

its the age old thing of "you get what you pay for" ... simple as ..

£7k + .... then you are into decent cars that are worth bringing over ..

I just want a shitter :( Just a pretty much boggo PS13 for a couple of grand before shipping so I can play with it myself.......is that toooooo hard

I shouldnt have thought so - its just that the price FOB in Japan at that low level seems to almost double by the time its landed here, duty paid. Hence why its so hard to get what gunnerktm wanted.

There are always deals to be had - Im sure Glen will be able to steer you in the right direction.

Yeah I thought it might be. I did PM Glen before christmas but then I saw he wasn't doin cars anymore and it's probably not worth his while with a crap box like I want lol.

Just wanna play and KNOW that I'll smack it up so don't want something as mental as yours cos my skill level isn't high enough yet!!!

so what do you think i better off doin with my budget of 3k, get a 200 sx outta autotrader or get one (180sx)in from japan with auction grade 4, 60 k miles, and not much damage???

you get japanese model 180sx's upto 1998 afaik.

For £3000 id go get one a skyline. there are quite a few floating about at the moment with drift spec set-ups at the moment. to me, they seem the best way to start. they are easy to learn in, predictable and also sound tres cool :smokin:

if you really want a 180sx theres a couple of decent ones floating about on this board. uncrowded monarch has one, but it might be a little OTT for you. Otherwise contact glen, at worst he can give you good advise. At best he can find you a car :D

Why not? I'm still a bit fuzzy on these new import rules. Some people say you can bring in cars, some people say you can't...?
