Anyone know of a good low mileage engine for sale?

EDIT: Might need two of them. One for me one for a friend

My 1995 S14 has just been written off in a low speed spin (40mph or less) into a crash barrier. Bodywork at both ends took most of the impact but the engine is undamaged. It's done 60,000 miles but was running well and had been regularly serviced. I'm waiting to hear from the insurance company as to whether I can pay the slavage cost and sell the parts, so I don't know if I'll definitely be able to keep it at the moment.

What sort of price would I be able to sell an engine for? Also, if you're interested would you be able to either remove it from my car or take the car once I've removed other parts to sell? I live in West Sussex.

James, if you get overwhelmed with offers of cheap SR's feel free to point them in my direction :D :wave: I'll be needing another one shortly!
BTW, are you after the whole lot, including the gearbox?

What are you slinging an SR in then?

Could tell you....but I'd have to kill you! Then kill myself for slaggin on S chassis then driving one every day ;) Shit I've given the game away

As I said, I'm still waiting for the insurance company to contact me about the claim. If they don't offer me a descent price I want to pay them the salvage price and break the car myself. I'm not sure they will allow that though.

Anyway, as soon as I know, if I get the salvage, I'll let you all know. There should be plenty of good bits besides the engine. Gearbox, complete interior, both doors etc. Regarding prices, I would hope to undercut other comparable parts being sold to move it all as soon as possible, so any offers anywhere near £500 for the engine would be fine.
 
Sounds good mate. I may be after wiring loom and ECU too. Not entirely sure yet. In fact I may need quite a lot of parts. I don't even know if I've got crossmembers and subframes yet.....
