Water pump leak ?

Hi,


I have a water pump leak but its out of a hole thats moulded into the metal already!? Not sure if its an overflow hole or if something was meant to be in there?


NOTE: The hole is on the underside of the pump. Underneath the spindle, if you were to look at it from the top.


Can anyone take a look at these crappy pics and let me know.


Should I block it up? Why is it coming out from there?


Any help is much appreciated.

no, those holes are there on purpose. they are like a 'telltale' when your water pump is on the way out. water is leaking past the seal/bearing and coming out that hole.
replace it
