Whats happening next year?

I know its only August and its a bit early but i wondered whats going to be happening in the drift scene next year? The biggest issue so far this year has been the lack of practice sessions, with the condodgers and north weald being the only regular ones after the Silverstone ones were cancelled. The upper heyford days will hopefully be good but as has already been said they will mostly be on weekdays which is impossible for me to get time off. With North Weald disapearing now and Conedodgers moving to quiet tyres only will there be any others, or is entering the D1 going to be the only way to practice? Hopefully Birmingham Wheels will carry on running but as has been said its only for the decent drivers, so guys like me won't be able to enter and practice.

Also what are going to be the D1 rules next year? Are there going to be compulsory rollcages, FIA approved gear etc? The reason i'm asking all this is because i can see that in a way grass roots drifting is on the border of being in crisis currently, if all the practice sessions keep dwindling, cars have to be more track prepared etc then its going to make it really hard for the average guy.

That's a fair point. Hopefully it won't be killed off by regulations and pricing before it has really gotten off the ground, as that would be a real shame.

I don't think Option will be going for FIA cages anytime soon, because they know the problems caused just by getting people to buy racewear
