Wheel nuts

Right two of the nuts holding the spacer on the front of the Banana have rounded off so I'm in need of a few and a few as spares just incase. The ones I have are for a 17mm socket which just about fits in the recess in the spacer.. (I had to bash a 16mm spacer on the fucked ones to get them off!).. what size socket fits these shallow open ended wheel nuts?

No I was using a 6 sided socket but I think they were probably done up using a 12 sided socket at some point in their life


Damnit Nick.. find me some shallow (16mm overall height) open ended wheel nuts for a 17mm socket please!!

Taff - I've searched and cant find ANY anywhere, apart from 1 bloke who needed an order of 100+ to get them from the states.

Priracing do closed top ones, which is what I've ordered:

I basically gave up, ordered 16 closed top ones and 4 of the slim 'tuner' nuts to use as locking wheel nuts. I need 17mm hex because a 19mm hex socket won't fit in the bolt holes on my alloys - I guess you have the same problem?

can't you just cut/grind the top off any old 17mm nut?
