wheel stuff

ok i have been confusing myself as to what things mean and the possible advantages/disadvantages.

firstly, offset does this matter provided the wheel goes on the car and is free to turn missing for example things like the arches and suspention.

also posative and negative camber from what i have noticed this is how i understand it

imagine the lines as the outward facing edge of the wheels looking from the front
\ = positive camber = /
| = 0 camber = |
/ = negative camber = \

is this correct? if i have this right what are the advantages of changing the camber?

You're right about the camber.

As far as offset goes I think the only other things to worry about are the fact that its illegal to have wheels sticking out of the arches so flares should be considered if going for really silly offset.

You also put more strain on wheel bearings with wide offset wheels or hub spacers.
