Wheels and offsets

Need a bit of help from you guys figuring out exactly what i can do to get my car looking pimp...
Im currently running these overpriced Impul RS3's  will be fine for drifting i reckon.

I really need to get something sorted, people point and say 'oooh skyline'.. and then laugh when they see the 3 spokes.

I have however found these for a reasonable amount of cash,

What do you guys think?
I can get them in 18x8.5 and 9.5 but they only do the following offsets 20,35,40,42,45,48.

My current rims are 17x8 38 front and 17x9 31 rear, now im a bit stuck.
Should I go for the 35 offset and space them out to make sure they fill the arches or should I give it up as a bad job and look elsewhere?

All advice and opinions welcome, its all a learning experience for me cos ive never had to mess with this stuff before.

Thanks

Jon

nowt wrong with 3 spokes ;) :D
I thought 20 offset was pretty normal for skylines? My 3 spokes are from a skyline, they're 9" wide all round with an offset of 20 or there abouts. They need to come out about a further 20-25mm though to make them really fit 'properly' ;) that'd give a total offset of -5 :D

what's your wheel to arch gap like at the moment with your current rims?

Hi James,

the gaps look like this,

and

Frontanglewheel.jpg

I reckon i could go quite alot further out on the back but the fronts are almost flush, or did you mean how high it sits? all the arches are rolled already and im about half way down the coils on the tein HR's at the back and 2/3s down them on the front (can i adjust the camber easily?) and the front right just clips the arch lining when i reverse full lock to the right. looking at the photos, the wheels look so tiny.

Oh and i love Volks rims but I cant justify spending that sort of cash, GT-N's are sweeeet. and Racing hart Crs mmm .. do-luck double 6.. all :( unfortunately outside of my budget.. I cant spend more than 900 on wheels, thats what i have saved.. second hand isnt an issue but i cant find any for sale that will definitely fit and look good.

Does anyone have some pimp rims for sale then i can do something daft with my 3 spokes?

Ive seen Skylines running 9x17 et22 all round without issue.

Go 8.5 f and 9.5 r. Offsets would be a bit of a prblem as theres nothing between 20 and 35. If you want the wheels to look "sort" of right, go for the 20s up front and the 20s on the rear. Ideally youd have a slightly higher offset on the rear (say et 30)... If you want to play it safe I guess go for the 35s and then use spacers....

Roll your archs, then I'm 'pretty sure' rear 9.5 +20 with 235 tyre, front 8.5 +20 with 225 tyre will fit, it will look damn sexy :D

Kewl, so if I order 20 offset it wont be a complete disaster..

Am I right in thinking that 20 offset will give me a slightly deeper dish (which is nice)?

According to this offset calculator http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html The rears will be an extra inch further out so would there be much of a problem sticking with 255 rubber on the back? I would have thought Id be alright looking at space available.

Im just bothered about wasting money.
