Which holset for RB26

Hello.Greetings from Bulgaria.
We're building a RS13 with R33 RB26DETT.The engine is fresh jap import,now with new forged bottom end,rebuilded head,and new everything needed for secure engine torturing The question is which HX35 will deliver enough power from mid to high rpms.We're shooting for 500-550HP at the engine.I think that the 7 blade version will be the better choice but which exhaust housing 14cm or 16cm.The goal is to achieve a quick spooling 500-550 engine.I would like to hear some opinions about this question.
I hope by the end of summer we can put this into the car I'll post more pictures when the project is finished.

I pretty much agree with what you're saying.

A 7blade HX35 with a 14/16cm should be fine for that with enough boost.

A 12cm may do it (proven at 600+ on a 2ltr) and spool a little faster, but backpressure will be higher, as will the boost needed.

I have a ideal hybrid for it here actually, a HX40 7 blade compressor wheel and housing, HX35 turbine wheel, and 14cm twin scroll HX35 turbine housing.

In fact, I have another that'd suit, HX40 8 blade compressor and turbine wheels, but with a custom .63 single scroll T3 turbine housing.
