Why can I not edit older posts I've made?

Hello All,

As indicated, I can't seem to edit older for sale / whatever posts I've made.

Am I missing something? There's bit which I've sold which I can't mark as such.

I might be blind, but I can't see anything like that! And I've been looking for a while

Having the same issue. Managed to edit my original thread post but once someone left a reply on the thread I couldn't edit it anymore
 
I asked this question the other day and I got this..

"Hi, unfortunately due to a bug in the forum (caused by people deleting all content from old posts), we've had to lock down post edits. I've increased this to 5 days (from a few hours), so posts should still be editable for a few days, but will then lock and need a mod to make any edits."
 
As stated above, we had a spate of people going into old posts and then manually deleting content and images out of their post. This effectively crashed the shoddily written thumbnail code and knocks the site off line until I can manually sift through all the posts and find which one is causing the issue. It needs fixing, but we're currently working on some updates to the store so it's on a list. For now we've just had to limit people's abilities to edit old posts.
If you've sold a car/parts and can't edit then just pop a request in and we can change it, or If you've made in incredibly embarrassing comment and want it deleting we can highlight the mistake and all laugh at you.
It's not ideal......
