Wtd: full bush kit for ae86...

Hello folks - just relatively new to the forum so Hello to everyone....

Was wondering if anyone would have a complete bush kit for an ae86 Levin import that they want to sell..... recently bought this car and she could do with a little tightening up....

Or which kit and where is the best to buy....

we'll have some Driftworks poly bushes for the rear arms available pretty soon, but don't have the others sorted at the moment
 
I'm replacing the bushes on my Corolla at the moment, was going to get a full kit from Fensport, as its the only one I can find.

I expect it'll be OK, seeing as they're Superflex bushes, pretty good name ......
 
Yeah but that's 30% stiffer than NEW rubber bushes, which would probably be about 300% better than OLD rubber bushes!!!

new OEM would be fine, but go for PU or TRD rubber for a longer life. I have the complete TRD set on my/brother Rikard's Euro Levin and they are really really nice, car feels lovely.

As you probably know already I build Rally and drift cars and have done so for many years.

If you want a tip dont go near Fensport for competition parts as they charge a damn site more than anyone else :no: . As an example you can get a polybush kit for an AE86 about 30% cheaper off any of the rally competition specialists. I personally use a guy called Dave Baines who owns a company called autoquip in Tarporley, Cheshire, he will be able to sort you out a set far cheaper than Fensport can.

Remember all these guys buy from the Polybush rep and will be able to sell cheaper if they buy loads of the manufacturer and get a bigger discount, so choose a company in this instance that supplies the rally market as they will be selling wagon loads to the rally boys rather than the occasional drifter or street racer.

Just thought this might help save you some pennies :thumbs:
 
Thanks for the advice richieu, but its still looking like Fensport at the moment ....

Demon Thieves have said they haven't got any on the shelf, expect to wait a week, and want £290 inc. VAT
Rally Design, despite being (and I quote from their annoying answerphone bloke) "The International Stockist of Polysport Suspension Bushes", don't sell items for Toyotas
Grand Prix Racewear said they'd email me, but that was 4 hours ago, I'm not holding out much hope, and the woman on the end of the phone was rather shitty with me

Are Autoquip likely to sell them for less than Fensport? I thought they only delt with Peugeots - seem to remember getting a sump guard from them a while back - but that could have been Autofive :confused:

Anyway, I've taken the front of mine apart, just got to remove the old bushes from the bottom arms and I'll be wanting to kill the MD of Hammerite in no time :smash:
