You spend all of your time looking for an AE86 and then 10 come along at once.....

Hopefully it'll mean the end of adverts like:

Wanted AE86 any age, any condition, any colour. MOT failures and high mileage cars welcome. But I don't intend giving you any money for it as I have no job and need to rob someone of as much money as possible when I sell it.

Or maybe it won't. I doubt the bloke paid much for them as they have always made good rally cars and AE86s have only been valuable in the UK for the last few years. Its worth taking a look as they are probably all quite straight and they will all have a roll cage and buckets.

Just e-mailed the guy, looks like it could be a really good buy if they are cheap enough!

I wonder if this is the same 10 that came up forsale in the Motorsport News last year? I think it was 10 cars for £10k at the time.

Depending on what needs doing to get them road legal that could be a pretty good investment.

Hmmmm...

this could be interesting - I wonder if the brotherhood should form a consortium to buy them for spares ?

They will be in Ireland by the end of the week!!!!,, id put serious money on it that someone will buy lock, stock...

Well considering they been rallied hard over the last few years, they might not be in the best shape - Id inspect 1st!!

The last time I saw a load of rally school AE86s they were mostly imports so I would guess that some of those ones are, its best to check.

I don't like the fact that they all have 4-speed dogboxes and that when asked if they were roadworthy he didn't reply on the listing has me worried about buying one. I'll have to see if I can get down there to have a look at some point as I could do with a straight and relatively clean shell.

Yeah, the guy woudn't say how much work they need to be roadworthy which would worry me, also he admitted that the one's he was selling at £2500 were pretty rough, trading on the rarity factor for the more expensive ones (they are Sedas apparently).

The brotherhood nearly aquired them! i was at the sale and had the highest bid on them but was blown out at the last min by somone who bought the whole rally school, unfortunatly i couldnt get hold of the chap who won befor the guy who has them now so i lost them all!!

anyway i have seen them all and have notes on the exact condition of all of them

a brotherhood buy would be good but it would take serious dolla now as he is axpecting a tidy profit i have his phone number if any of the brotherhood are interested in making an offer as i too would back my share let me know!

there are loads and loads of spares too! but lets just say you got to know your corollas inside out for it to be worth it!

Firstly, If you bid in this auction and win you will receive a torn Hella lighting sticker from one of the cars.

No where does it say the cars are for sale :(

edit - ok yes it does, buy the auction aint for the cars.

Colin

no paperwork for any of them and if any one who is interested in getting one for themselves make sure you actually are preparred for a complete rebuild he has stated this in the questions at the bottom of the add and i will second that!

any one who wants a cheap drift car trust me from a corrolla lover through and through get an s-body or BMW
