Look at prodrift academy or drift limits. They do experience days for drifting.

Depends on your circumstances and lifestyle tbf.
Do you have access to a trailer or tow vehicle?
Have you got space to park a non road legal car?
If so then £1500 is enough to get you into drifting, well , at least enough to let you know if it's for you or not !
Buy yourself a cheap mx5 / e36 / e46 / volvo / whatever cheap rwd car you can find, weld the diff, get some free / cheap part worns from a tyre garage and book yourself in at a drift day where you don't need a licence!
If possible, ask a more experienced driver to sit with you for a couple of laps to give you pointers.
Everyone is friendly and approachable so don't be afraid to ask. At the end of the day we're all here for the same reason and we all start at some point.

The reputation of drifting really struggled in the UK early on because of this exact behaviour.

I don't recommend this
but you can do it illegally if your fairly ballsy , I was driving at 14 , get an old beamer and get someone to weld the diff for you. get some cheap coilovers, then hit up industrial estates and find large deserted car parks. don't spend too long in each spot, 5-10 min max
store the car on private roads only unless you want to tax it. do your practice sessions on a fri/sat night around 10pm - 12pm , the police will most likely be busy at that time.
if you get chased, some police cars are fairly slow and you will get away , but if its an x5 or something quick be prepared to flee on foot, because you'll never out run them in the car, dont get into a high speed chase!. find an alley way or field to run across , be prepared to loose the car!.
it wont be mega seat time , but the learning curve is fairly quick, tape the handbrake button in and air the tyres up to 40psi
if caught youll get a ban , but that will most likely expire before your 17 anyway. a fine is unlikely unless you have a high paying paper round ! so it will most likely be the courts, police and parents trying to scare you. slap on the wrist for first offence,
it all depends on you risk appetite

Before you start working towards a certain "level", just go out and have some fun.
At the end of the day, drifting is all about having fun with your mates.
There's no better feeling than being out on track, doing stupid things and having stupid fun with your stupid friends in stupid cars.
And that's pretty much the basis of drifting.

My mum and dad want me to pay 150 for 1 hour of driving all sorts but why would I when for about 450 I can buy my own drift car i know theirs more costs than that
