Hello i have just convinced my girlfriend to let me keep her old soarer after buying her a new car, which was hard work considering i allready have a 200sx set up for grip (spent alot of cash on it and cant bring myself to crashing it learning to drift) what are your opinion's apon drifting this car?
also does anybody know who stocks suspension set up parts?

nope that is the first herdle i believe a supra box will fit although i need to do some research! then weld diff/find somewhere local to practice.

I have a spare one of these, I'm having the 2.5TT & Manual Box for my GZ20 & the rest will be available.

I have some bits going spare eg: a set of yummy coilovers for it, a spare diff & few other chassis parts.

I've driven a few auto's & yes they work fine for drifty you'd be amazed

PM if your interested

another question, will i be ok learning in an auto, how will i be restricted, should i just wack a manual in before i start practising?

not using my baby for that way too much time & money has gone into it, have seen many a drifters frount bumper in a sorry state & my carbon wings are attached to mine which would be a very expensive accident! hence the reason for keeping the soarer to smash up!

well sort the diff, and just go practice with it as it is untill u get the bits together to convert it.

u cant do any fun clutch kicking tho :( so work that ebrake :D

nice one it deffo has enough grunt for power over, have never done any serious drift practice. would like to spend the cash i have on nice drifty hydrolic hand brake & a set of nice coilovers with adjustable top mounts think them things come b4 manual conversion would you agree?

Huydraulic ebrake is prolly un-neccicary for now, just get your normal ebrake serviced to bite like a biaatch.

coilovers would be nice.. but you dont need them to drift, they just help later on as you get better.

sort the diff, then drift it, and upgrade bits like suspention as and when you feel you need them ( its not nice hitting a kerb and totalling a nice new suspention turret thats only done 50miles lol )

never thought of it like that but standard handbrake seems well ropey unsure if it's up to the job being such a heavy car, thought coilovers would help stibuility alot as ride is for lack of a better way of describing it wallowey, recieved my first and most important modification today which im told will instantly turn me into a sidewayz god! large orange driftworks sticker!

o.k. will leave handbrake, so coliovers or manual conversion? appreciate all your input as very new to this with no experience at all, dont want to spend the avaliable cash i have on the wrong things, sure as soon as i get to a practice day i will know what i need but would like to be as well prepped as poss!

manual conversion b4 the coilovers.

the manual box will instantly give much more benifit than the coilovers.

being able to clutch kick, and shift lock, is great. and gives you greater flexibility in controlling the car.

spent nearly 10grand on 200sx so far taken me nearly 2years to build to the spec it's at, soarer totally standard apart from filter and wheels, from what i can tell only worth 2-3k so im gonna smash it all up proper.
