Just got a nissan 200 sx S14 runs for about 5-10 seconds before cutting out the guy I got it off says its the immobilizer?
Anyone got any ideas ?

actually dom joly
the immobiliser is in the key fob and is separate from the nats alarm. if you've got the original key then there should be a chip in the red panel on the key. if not the cheapest way round it would be to get lucas immobiliser box, key chip, and ignition barrel halo from another s14

See I just have a black key has nissan on it
when it was changed there was no halo just a small black box above the ignition barrel the car is a 1996 s14 but it doesn't seem to match up with the manuals or what i've read. So i'm very confused

I used to have a 200sx s14, never had an immob chip in the key either. Do you have the corresponding keyfob with the key?

join sxoc.
put a post up in the area you are from asking for someone with a datascan cable and software to re-sync your ECU.
give them some petrol and beer money.
