323bhp Top Spec S14 For Under £6k

my mate just took his r32 too perfect touch running around 430 and it left running 620+ so I am lookin forward too seeing what they do with this.

I met you down there mate, just as your mate was picking the Liner back up

(im the bloke with the stoopid looking civic with the 2.2 in it ;) )

327@1.2 is well off the mark, and 555s max out around 380bhp... who mapped it? its underpowered, its not like i started messing with SRs last week...

FYI, i was running 383bhp @ 1.3 bar on stock internals, 555s and power FC...

It's a great looking car, but the engine was built by APT who have a bit of a reputation in my book for building Nissan engines to Ford Specs. I would imagine that it's got low compression forged pistons and a door stop sized head gasket running some stupidly low compression ratio.

I don't know why people do it. It's a complete waste of an engine - if you look at jap, aus, nz engines etc. They all use about an 8.5:1 or 9.0:1 compression ratio in SR's. Unless your shooting for a 500hp drag car, there is no need to de-compress an SR engine. Just turns it into a laggy turd and the stock internals are more than strong enough to take 350+hp.

It's running a GT2835R. That turbo should spool by 3200 - 3500rpm

thanks for the comments guys:rolleyes:

well all it needs a is a good mapping and to be pu on the rollers iv heard so much good stuff about the guys at "perfect touch" and still not heard nothing negative

we shall see what they can get out.

as for the speakers and shit its going to get done to look more like a street car again the seats are going for some sparcos or brides...but all in good time

and SI your hondas not stupid looking my frend...its just dirty tarmac eating lil bitch:D:D

Couldn't figure out what looked wrong with that car other than the gay rear lights - it was fucking high!!! Slam the cunt.

Yeah, WTF do they know - they have only turned out 3 500hp+ SR's in the past 6 months

Why is this car for sale again on Pistonheads? Im probably looking for a new car for 2008, but all this buying and selling the same car indicates trouble to me? Anyone know the story?

The current owner is on the SXOC, he's decided he wants something 4WD :euge:

I'm sure making a healthy profit on what he paid for it hasn't had any kind of influence at all either...

ok.. thanks for info.. Just want to try to make everything clear before flying to the UK to look at it if everything goes right reg. my own car. Any other info on this car is very welcome either here or on PM.

thanks

dont think theres nothing wrong with the car he comes out with us every saterday night on it,, still goes fine he got it mapped pushing 390 or 380bhp

ok. thanks for that.. I´ll just have to see if i can hurry up and fly in to inspect before it sells. i just missed out on a red S14a with S15 face on same site. some other guy from Denmark is going to pick it up.

Oh dear, "engine tuning supremo" bizzle talking like he knows what he on about again...

And still seems to believe compression has any real relation to boost threshold or lag if mapped right and dont have high comp spec head/cams...

Has this thing ever gone sideways (on a track, not a car park krooz) or just done motorway pulls?
If its the same car, wasn't this the maxpower thing? Looks like it had no clear direction for its build, its not one thing or the other.
£25,000 spend then selling it for £6k seemed ridiculous too.
Hmph. Don't like show cars.
Anyway, good luck with the sale chap.
