'89 Mazda RX7 FC3S

1989 Mazda RX-7 FC3S
-------------------------------------
Was meant to be my project car but the lack of space and money as well as a new car that needs some attention are forcing me to sell it.

So here it goes:

Engine:
-------------
2 Rotor
147 BHP Non Turbo
Last owner stated the engine has been swapped 11.000 miles ago.
Got nothing to prove that so I'd assume there are about 109.000 miles
on it. Maybe he meant it has been rebuilt cause the engine's looking mint.
No excessive smoking after cold start.
Don't know how rotary engines sound when there healthy, so i'd say it
needs a service, just to be on the save side.
Also, the power steering is a bit stiff by times.
I had to refill the coolant a wee bit every few weeks but couldn't find any leaks.
Engine had regular oil changes.

A fuel pump switch has been fitted to avoid the known flooding problem.

Bodywork:
-----------------
The Bodywork isn't in a good condition.
It got keyed on the drivers side.
The right backpanel looks like its missing the clear coat.
Scratches everywhere as you can expect from a car of this age.
The right cover, where the headlight shines trough when the pop-ups are down, is missing.
The front lip is loose, thanks to the snow we've had.
There are some rust spots on the Roof.
Didn't look at the sills yet, but there might be some rust as well.

Interior:
-------------
Bit of wear here n there.
The dial lights are flickering sometimes. Just needs a new switch to fix that.
It's got air conditioning and cruise control, although i couldn't figure how it works.

NO MOT OR TAX ON IT !!!
It'll need some TLC to bring it back to it's former glory

Contact me for more details.

Car's located in central Scotland (Near Greenock/Glasgow)

Few pics:

Also got a Cat-Back system, single exit with 4" tailpipe for sale.

wow, thats cheap!! Stick it on fleagay, i reckon itll get taken for that....try and get a compression test done on it as well as that will give you a better indication of engine condition...if the Comp test turns up good results, you should get people queing up to take it at 200!

Compression should be fine.

Engine accelerates very smooth and quick. No hesitations, no smoking after warm up. Just the few faults I've mentioned before.
I'd keep it if I had the space, tools and money :(

im seriously tempted...but scotland is just too far :( if you was closer to me, id have snapped your arm off! (and im not just sayin that either.....)

Can't see any obvious reasons why it wouldn't pass actually.
Checked sills today n they seem to only have some slight surface rust.
Exhaust system's alright, no oil leaks, good brakes...don't know what else they're going to test though. Could only be minor things.

its a good job i dont have £200 spare this month... or id be having such a terrible time not giving it to you. it was only a couple of weeks ago i got a sudden craving for a non-turbo FC with coilovers, standard engine, standard interior, welded diff, and a straight pipe single box exhaust

mmmmmmmmmmm

i know what u mean mate. if it had mot an tax i wuld be currently half way back to surrey by now in it

Started it today after months and it didn't even spit excessive smoke.
Was just low on fuel, so it'd cut off again
Didn't want to risk the system running completely lean.

Yeah it's a luvly car, innit?
Already planned all the mods, sourced dealers and so on but...can't do nothing in my current situation :(

when you need it gone by? is there a real rush? if the price comes down and you can wait til end of sept... then... mmm.... argh i shouldnt....

Heh, it sat for like 4 months so...On the other hand, cash's short and I need to get at least one car back on the road...bah, Rovers and headgaskets
Will see if it's still available by tomorrow/end of the week.
