Since breaking the car, I've slacked off on repairing it even though I already picked up an engine. I did however recently pick up some NerpTech offset rear trailing arm bushings and a 180F/82C thermostat due to the OEM one being too hot.
I've also been giving my daily some much needed attention. Finally installed the coilovers and started refinishing my corvette salad shooter wheels.
Turns out, I might need to make some steering bump stops.
Finally got the car on a lift so I could get pictures of my exhaust set up. Completely open exhaust.
Also decided to tear into the engine to find out what exactly failed. found a nice little surprise when I removed the intake. My engine decided to abort a lifter. One of the rockers came loose and let the push rod fly up. Luckily nothing was damaged. Went ahead and readjusted the rest of the valves.
While in my rut of unemployment, I managed to find joy in driving the car every day. I managed to have a lot of fun all the way up till I blew up the transmission. Decided to get a t-10 4 speed to replace the weak t-5.
Also managed to get a different tach that is actually for a v8.
Installed the barefoot pedal for that real american v8 feel.
Even got a rear window louver from a mustang. Still have a little more work to do to make it fit right.
Btw, if you haven't noticed, my accent color is yellow. You can all think the original yellow power ranger for that.
Decided to get some FD Pro 3 door cards.
Got some |BLVCKSONS| merch in to sell and it was a hit at the most recent event.
A picture of how rough it is behind my shop right now.
One of my friends made a rendering of what my livery should look like when finished. obviously the sponsors will be different and the wheels will be white.
