S13+S15=S28?
After much searching for an uber cheap RS13 I finally bought one last week, and got it delivered a few days ago. 100k, knackered big ends, £375.
The car will not be used as a road car, so tax, MOT and insurance are not a worry. Therefore I can go as far as I want with it.
Mods it had on it from the start are turbo back exhaust (probably will be replaced, since it has a huge silencer in the middle), BOV, a crappy boost guage, rice-tastic rear wing and chav-spec scooby bonnet vent. So far I have spent a full day on it trying to get the bitch to start, as the engine seems to be running extremely rich, and flooding the cylinders and absolutely soaking the spark plugs. At the moment it seems only one cylinder is starting to fire, and it just wont catch.
Rust wise, It's not actually too bad. Arches at the back only have a little bit on them which is nice and easy to fix and the bootlid is pretty rotten where water has pooled under that rear wing. Strangely the engine bay seems to have a fair bit, but nothing too major.
Right now I am doing things that can be done for free, such as completely stripping it, getting rid of the rear wing, removing the bonnet vent, giving it a damn good clean, sorting out some patches of rust and getting the bitch going.
Here are some (rather crap) pictures:
I'll take some better pictures when I get my new digital camera tomorrow and when I have some more stuff done.
