If it's been overfueling badly and not firing for a while, then make sure you change the engine oil before you give it a thraping :nod:
If the petrol's washed past the rings and into the sump it will have contaminated the oil and removed it's lubricating properties :wack:
 
Thanks for the info James. The oil will be changed tomorrow anyway when I change the bearings.

Pete, the car came from a friend off the Lexus Owners Club - near Manchester.
 
Project aborted.

Basically, I've had enough of it. Theres too much stuff the seller didn't tell me about and I'm fucked off constantly trying to repair things that I wasn't informed of. It was supposed to have MOT (which it doesnt) and it was supposed to be drivable (which it isn't).

New S13 project will be coming in a few months. Might extend my budget next time to get a bit of a better one.

Big ends and crank gone, no MOT, brakes and pads are fooked, seals all round the car are leaking like buggery and the suspension brace that runs under the radiator has gone totally crispy. I also suspect that the rear right damper has gone as after i took it down after jacking it up there was a whole load of thick sticky oil on the driveway near that area. Also has no documents (although I was assured these would be sent to me eventually). Engine is also very reluctant to idle, but this could be as a result of bearing and crank damage.
