Anyone drifted a TVR yet?

As title, anyone drifted a TVR yet?

I real one I mean, a Cerbera 4.2/4.5?

Been thinking it would be a good base car if you started from the ground up and ditched thier pants electronics.

Proper basic engine, wheels and a seat type of car...

Anyone?

Andy

There was a black Cerbera that used to drift on the Silverstone carpark practice days. From what I remember the guy was having a bit of trouble with lack of lock.

I remember that car, was nice!

A TVR would be a good base car, good engines and plenty of suspension bits about for them. Like you said andy, just need to ditch the wiring and other shite bits. You`d be able to fund the mods to by selling the interior etc for lots.

Cerberas are proper beasts, the only TVRs I like, proper V8s, no Rover shite.

Never knew anyone has drifted one though. Anyone got any pics?

If I had £8k I'd defo buy a TVR and it would therefore obviously be drifted, but since I'm poor I can only dream of that day...

I've skidded a mates Chimaera 450 , proper twitchy due to a shortish wheel base and a massive torque figure , at the time I was used to turbo lag on my s13. :)

Yep, old man had 4.0 litre V8. Very snappy due to bad damping/spring rate ratio between front and rear. It almost feels as TVR thought "oh shit this is an animal.. " and tamed it by dialing in alot of push from the nose as standard. Safe. Untill it snaps from understeer/pushing wide into oversteer. Heavy steering and clunky gearbox would take some getting used too.

Did mint donuts mind.

Tvr

4.2 for £9500
4.5 for £13000
or a speed six for £13500

Horsepower's a bit :euge: but I bet if you stripped the rubbish out of it it would be dead reliable, hmmmm....

7inch shorter wheelbase on a gay Chimera than a gay S13.

REAL non gay TVRs, ie 4.2/4.5 Cerberas, have a 4 inch longer wheelbase than even a gay S13 it seems.

I always thought 350Zs had a fairly short wheelbase, but are about the same as Cerberas it seems, longer than a S13.

To summarise, who gives a fuck what the wheelbase is, there a lot more important issues than that anyhow.

I wanna see/hear a drifting Cerbera

Rx

I'd rather have an RX7 with an LSX in it ..

Yeah, but got me thinking a few weeks back with all the talk of BMW's and how great they are and how people think of them as 'European' drift cars, TVR would make an awesome national flag waver for the UK I reckon as does a viper or mustang for USA....or an S15 for Japan....

I bet you could find spares cheap too, wouldnt want to crash it too much though, imagine the fibreglass splinters, its alright having an FRP bodykit but its a bit different when you are sat inside an FRP egg on wheels and the car is the bodykit....

Yup they made their own in the end, most were overbored and tuned Rover lumps though lol. The speed 6 engine was their own home-grown lump, don't know much about them but they put out good powaz and sound great.

Andy- I wish, but who in their right mind would lend us a Cerbera! Lol

GMaster- They did.
Cerberas are their own V8s, PROPER V8s, hence why they powerful, unlike the gay Rover shite thats in Griffiths Chimeras etc

They made their own for the chimera

Cerbera you mean. Chimera was Rover gayness.
