Compared to a 328 of course they are a bit gutless, but they are more fun to drive. If you are looking at grip as well as drift a 5 is a much better bet IMO, a BMW feels all grown up which loses a bit of the kicks for me.
They dont handle particularly well either tbh, I really struggled to see what the fuss was all about. I also would think a 328 is just as good on juice as a 5, they are dire for their size and engines
I've got a red 1.6 H reg mk1 mx5 jap import on coilovers with 15" wolfrace alloys done 189000kilomoters go side ways really easy and very predictable only after £600 for it so it's a nice cheep drift project
