Classic car that doesn't rust?

22 points???? Something tells me you shouldn't be driving!

Thought I was the only one thinking that......

As for the classics that dont rust, well I have yet to find one.

First was a classic mini and that rusted rather quickly
Second was 2x MK1 Ford Escorts, they are pretty decent, but still have rust (one was sold, one is being rebuilt now)
Third was Datsun 240z, sills, doors, chassis rails and inner fenders are notorious for rust... being rebuilt now

Or go the Galv route, later E30's, all Audis from about 1985 onwards, most Fiats, Lancias and Alfas from about 1990 are all galvanised so should be better :)

I'd say rust is the least of this guys problems if he has 22 points on his license?

Get something classic. There are still plenty of non-rusty bargains to be had, be smart and get insurance quotes before handing over the cash.

Even galvanised cars rust, typically its only effective for about 10 years, my Mrs audi a3 had a rusty boot panel and their galvanised, it's just less rusty than a non galvanised car.

Keep an eye out for imports, I've seen some great cars come over from South Africa. The hot dry weather keeps them rust free, and they often have a few unusual accessories that equ. UK models didn't get as standard like AirCon, larger capacity fuel tank, sump guards and higher spec interior trim.

how the hell did you get 22 points?
