Not too much happening ATM just waiting on my linkage to return now and to find a rad with the inlet at top centerish so I don't have to mess about with stuff and then it's just getting down to wiring. Hoping the linkage will return soon so the box can go back together so I can then get to try the new prop in there and have it all in 1 lump again :-)
Right progress since last post. I have Ripped all the fuel lines out and am getting ready to lay the new 10mm copper pipes in! Only thing I can't decide on is whether I go inside or underneath both have positive points but am thinking underneath is easier and probably safer just not so easy working on ur back under a car.
Other bits I've been working my way through
moving the fuse box involved cutting 30ish wires do I numbered the wires on each side of the cut point to make it easy to rejoin. Then completely remove the fuse box but not all wires from the same point as there are 3 wires that each have additional wires coming from them so easier to just remove the wires further back to avoid more soldering
Then you will need to sort the wires out that need to go back into the cabin and take the wires out of the grommet. I reinsulated these wires at this point as is much easier to do before it's back in dash but left around 6" to allow me space to work , now I soldered the 10ish that are left at the front to extension wires and insulated all of them together and sent them into the cabin following the route of the last bunch, now I joined the wires in the car to the fuse box! Now there are 3 wires remaining at the fuse box to be extended to the front. So solder them in insulate the wires together and send them back to the engine bay and join them back to the loom then re wrap it and job done other than the supply (battery)wires on the fuse box which I would gues doesn't need explaining
On the rad topic I have a solution I have not seen or heard of anyone else using it yet but fits perfect size wise but location lugs at bottom don't match other than that it is much nicer to work with than the sr20det and ca18det rads!
Just need some fans that will fit in front of the rad
Some pics V :-)
At the moment yes but will probably end up moving it to the top of the chassis rail before I have finnished with the looms as things under bonnet still need moving about a little.
