DPD, thats a shame.

So do you guys use dpd now as your main delivery company? If so thats a bit of a shame. Their operation appears very slick from the outside with the update e-mails and the confirmed delivery times and they're generally quick enough moving stuff between hubs but some of the companies in this area they use to actually deliver stuff leaves a lot to be desired. I've never had anything on time from them ever. They told me they were bringing my order from yourselves today but that never turned up and I'm still waiting on a delivery from them that was picked up before christmas and has been sat in their depot ever since. So far I've still not been able to speak to an actual person and the countless enquiry request forms I've filled in have yet to be replied to.
I hope these guys dont drag down your usually awesome delivery speed.

Sorry, just felt like having a rant. Happy new year guys. :dw:

i spoke to the guys at granite reef in aberdeen (skate shop) turns out any package that has to go THROUGH Edinburgh or Glasgow will get stuck but if you bypass them with a direct door to door courier your safe

just something to consider till maybe february till the back log is cleared up here

i got stuff delivered from them today, iv had no problems

do you get delivered to by the same couriers in my area do you?

my stuff's been sat in the local depot for weeks with no attempt for delivery, they said my dw stuff was coming today and even gave me a time but no-one turned up.

They dont reply to any of my enquiries for information.

Edinburgh or glasgow has nothing to do with it.

Email DPD, give them 24 hrs or you will take legal action against them.
I done it before xmas and they delivered within 48hrs.

DPD are by far the best delivery company we have used, and we've used them all.

99% of the time they are faultless, but of course there is going to be the odd occasion where something goes wrong, that's the nature of life.

Are you saying every time you order from us it doesn't get delivered on time?
Where abouts are you located?

yeah, its not you guys. just the people that DPD sub contract to in this area are all completely useless.

I've sent several e-mail enquiries now and still had no answer. I've tried phoning countless numbers to speak to a person and all I can get is an automated system.

You wouldnt happen to have a customer services number where you can actually speak to someone do you?

doesn't matter, just spoke to someone and they have absolutely no intrest in helping. Their words were, "it's not our problem."

The thing that has really riled me is the few occasions where I've been sent an email at around 4.30pm saying no-one was there to sign when I was still sitting at my desk at work with an office full of people for about another hour and a half.

I would take the next day delivery with a pinch of salt, unfortunately for me the two times I received the email to say no-one was there to sign was on a Friday when the stuff should have turned up which stuffed me for the weekend. Allow 2 days for delivery and they're normally ok, problem is they send you an email saying next day and it rarely is so they sort of set themselves up for a fall.

Apparently they sub a lot of work out to drivers who like to get home early on a Friday so just enter on the system that no-one was there to sign when in reality they haven't even attempted delivery.

It's frustrating because their customer service or methods for dealing with stuff like this is 'unhelpful' at best, but generally when the weather is ok and aside from Friday deliveries its been really good and I guess it helps keep costs down.

Cheers
Nito

I just had my wheels delivered by DPD. They sent an e-mail this morning saying between 10.34am and 11.34am and it was spot-on. Delivery time was around 11.04.

All companys are going to have 1 bad apple, but make the right noise's at the right people and it will get sorted.

Yes DPD provide a far more reliable service than the ones we've used in the past.

The only issues we have had have been around Christmas time, which I think unless you have had your head under a rock then you'll understand why.

Other than that they generally provide a service above and beyond.

Anyway, any issues with delivery stuff, just email me directly at Nick@driftworks.com so I can sort it out for you.

Have to disagree - I had a perfect service from both Driftworks and DPD before christmas. My order got in on the Wednesday before and the parts all turned up as I was told they would on the Thursday (23rd!) meaning I was able to do my turbo swap between xmas and new year.

Big thumbs up from me :)

DPD are a joke ive had a few problems with them and so have friends ie dont turn when e-mail says or just dont turn up at all. Utterly useless.

Do you mean agree?! :wack:

Its not really dpd, its the companies they sub contract to. However dpd had no intrest in helping me out or giving me any information nor did they reply to any of my general request forms that I filled in on their website.

It's ok though, i've phoned around couriers and found my parcels with interlink. was told they would be on their way from dundee shortly and that I will have them this afternoon. No reason for why ones been sat in their depot for 2 weeks though, it just has.

Even with a day late on delivery cause of couriers dw are still quicker than every other parts company. :worthy:

The DPD delivery guy had ago at my dad because he wasnt at the door waiting for the package! He said your expecting the delivery you should answer the door quicker! Not saying DPD is useless as i have never had a problem until the new driver with attitude problems!

I've worked as a delivery driver for DPD along with the other major delivery firms and generaly they are the best. If you pay for a before x o'clock time delivery 99.9% of the time you will get it as the drivers are franchisees and will get fined a fair amount if they dont make it...if they miss 3 of these deliveries in a short space they loose there round in some circumstances.
