YouTube - Drifting Lesson

Basic Drifting techniques to start practicing. E-Braking mostly...

P.S. What in the world is an LSD?

lmfao (by the way thats on that site lmfao)

Some people really are just SO retarded.

As he said (don't get me wrong, the way he said it all he came across as a bit of a cock), but its not drifting, its ass dragging.

Trying to jump on the bandwagon - the wrong way!

It's scary how delusional the members on that site are. It's almost like a twisted brainwashed cult. They actually believe its drifting. Kyle should join that forum, he'd be worshipped.

FWD can drift fine. It involves building up momentum ahead of time then redirecting the cars attitude at maximum G forces during turn to gain better directional control at higher than speeds normally considered safe. When done properly, this will gain driver advantage by bleeding foreward speed to allow the driver opportunity to re-vector new inertia in a lateral direction by using directional steering. Basic newtonian physics when understood. Ass-dragging to those who dont. Whats not realized is since the drive wheels will still be paralell with the desired direction, as long as you have attitude control, you can apply accelleration into your new direction. The understeering comes from having too much inertia during a turn till it begins to break the traction of the front drive wheels. Plus if you havent properly adjusted your cars angle via attitude adjustments then you'll have to turn more than desireable. This is why you carry your inertia in as far as you can and use LFB to bleeed inertia from the undesired direction so when the car drifts into the corrected direction you'll be able to use your gas more effectively. Understeering will only occur when you turn the steering wheel so learn to use your brake/gas effectively,

hahahahahaha

genius

I only wish we could have such a scientific understanding of how such things work over here in RWD world..... Just imagine how good the top RWD drivers would be if they all learned to re-vector their new inertias.... Damn you Isaac Newton :smash:

I didn't realise Newton was so big on FWD drifting. It's not mentioned on Wikipedia which, let's be fair here, I get all my misinformed bullshit from.

oh dear...the man responsable for this post is "admin" with 112 posts on his own forums, and no understanding of "newtonian physics" :wack:

Re: IS IT WORSE FOR THE CAR TO FWD DRIFT THAN RWD DRIFT???
I dont see how it could be 'worse' per say.. They both use different aspects of the car to initiate a drift. For example RWD cars use the power in the rear wheels to initiate a slide while FWD cars use weight transfer and braking.

They both infact use up the rubber on your tires Grin

And a car cant FWD drift and RWD drift, if the car is FWD it will drift as above ^ and if it is RWD it will initiate drifts differently..

For the question is it worse for a FWD car to drift or a RWD car, it really depends on the car. RWD is easier to drift however."

Can we have a mass sign up of real skidders and spam the site to death? Or atleast turn up to one of their "drift" meets and make them look silly?

*edit* oh god...just found this...

"If you have your steering turned and hitting the gas, you'll tend to understeer early on since your inertia is still going "foreward". This is why brakes and suspension is key.
By evoking a mild drift condition via attitude adjustments, you can "straighten" the car then catch the angular momentum as you apply torque. This make the "foreward" momentum into more of a "lateral" momentum and will be bled away throu lateral traction. From this point, you apply inertia in the new direction to replace the inertial being bled off with less need for corrective steering.

Back on subject. tray drifting is fun,(very fun) but not practical "

well that site is bookmarked under shits'n'giggles...

Looks like a yank site. Last thing I want to do if I go to the states is turn up at a fwd skidders cruz
