he he more replies than i thought i would get...right...as nick has pointed it out is the iron block 350 which they were making in 1956-...tough and durable...the all alloy engine is the ls1- motors out of the c5 corvettes...but when you consider that an ls1 and ecu and t56 6 speed box is gonna pull ur pants down for 5k plus...this is why i went for the 350 chevy...its a rebuilt from scratch block new bearings etc etc has a 276 cam,and 327 hi-po heads which are 70cc combustion chambers of the early corvettes...compresion should be around 10.4...and engine is 347 bhp and 367 torque...not much you might think but 250 torque at 1,500 rpm is pretty good....if i get the money together i will put brodix ali heads on,change the 650cfm 4 barrel carb to a 750cfm and should see 410 bhp and 400 torque...but thats if i can afford them...:(...i have changed the transmission for a chevy th350 3 speed box with a manual valve body, which is like a cheap version of tiptronic really and you get grease lightning gearchanges, not like the usual slushmatic change on an auto box..

If you replace the 4 barrel intake manifold, to a dual 4 barrel, or get really daring and have three carbs on it, you can easily push 550+ bhp. Just make sure you re-enforce the car like the mad, torque twisted the shit out of my frame with dual 650cfm's on a 289ci engine (4.7L)

Im with Brooksie on this 1

Still not sure whether Id like the braaaaga braaaaaaaaaaagaaaaaa of the V8 or the zinnnnnnnnng of the 13b. Suppose wait til its on the track before the final judgement is made

brooksie...just fancied something different...love the shape of the seven and love the rumble of a v8...and i dont nhavr the repair costs of a single tubby rotary...but hey all to their own eh...:)

RX looks good, will be good to see it out and about in crackcity.

So hows the yellow porshe?

Still broken or slow?

:D

lennie the yellow porsche is having some dramatic changes at present...5.8 chevy small block with all the goodies...dynod without gas at 501 bhp not done a gas run as its got to be run in...engine has been built to take a 250 bhp gas on progresive 2 stage set up 100 bhp then 150 bhp....should be around a real 670 bhp....so its gonna be quicker than the rover days thats one thing thats for sure...u best pull that boost pipe of the actuator for that race=unlimited bbbbbbbooost...

Na, i really not bothered if i get beat or not by some one who has spent all that money and done all that work. im only on about £1700 of tuning so there a bit of difference, his 100 gayges probably cost as much as all my tuning stuff put together.

well the car has done 25 miles now still needs a few bits of fettling,on the inside, but drives great, and before amyone says anything its not nose heavy as the motor sits snug on the bulk head...shame the scoop had to be so big but there was no choice, and i quite like it now as it looks pretty evil...i am changing the wheels to all black...whats ur comments and opinions on how i could improve the look of the car...oh and if any one fancys photoshopping some nice deep dish rims on there please do so...oh please go on...cheers

i think it looks nice but im sorry that scoop offends me, couldnt you make the sccop the whole width of the bonnet i recon that would look better but thats just my opinion tell me to fuck off if you like

oh my god ... you have taken what is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful japanese sports cars and stuck a big box on its bonnet !! why does it have to be so big ? ... is the whole engine sticking out or something ??

had two FD's .. love em to bits and the rest of the car just looks the bomb :worthy:

can't you just run without a bonnet ?!?

pmsl brooksie... the scoop is covering a 14" air filter its been made to get me on the road to be fair... i will be looking for another scoop in fibreglass a bit smaller with rounder edges...i have to have a scoop as the top of carb and air filter sticks above bonnet line...so be nice to me people as this has taken a lot of time to do and was done on a budget-ish...:)

can you not make it blown .. cut a hole in the bonnet and have it showing .. now that would be seriously cool .. :D

fair play to you though pal ... once you got some more miles under its belt i'd love to hear your thoughts on how it drives etc ?

 I'm not knocking you, its quite a job to do a transplant like that. Styling is not a pure science more of an art so it can be shit to get right.

In summary then, its better than anything I've ever done

Bin the scoop and fit big blower Mad max Stylee, other than that, fair play, it takes a lot of balls to start chopping around a car like that :worthy:
