Hi guys, been a long time lurker on here, so thought it was about time I got a project thread on the go.

My names Nick from Preston Lancashire and this is my on going project for a weekend & track toy. You guys have a few really nice Capri project on here. This isnt quite as serious as some, but should be fun once its done.

Originally a Mk3 3.0S I bought this as a unfinished project. Spent alot of time and money on it with help from my mates and this is how it currently sits.

The rear end has tramp bars & a panhard rod installed. Custom one piece prop shaft to convert the Nissan box to an atlas axle. Coilovers on front with custom crossmember. Still alot of things to work out but ticking the list of as I go!

Ahh right. I remember seeing one or two round here. If you see a red Capri, give it a wave as its my daily drive. Will update this thread when I get a spare minute.

First a huge thanks to my mate Elliot for making this work of art from scratch. It will take pride of place on the old boy when he hits the road. Thanks mate :thumbup1:/>/>

Also the handbraking is sorted!

Going to have some fun times with those. I will be adding the cable conversion to the horizontal one for road legality...ish!

We managed to convert the seat runners included with the seats to mount into the Capri. Heres the test fit.

This allowed us to work out the remaining harness points and handbrake position.

Also it was rude not to fit the steering wheel and make brum brum and skiddy noises for at least an hour!!!

After that its now back on the jig for the final time for removing all the underseal ready for paint and yet more welding (never seems to end!)

We then set about welding in the spare wheel hub brace and finish the fabrication of the panhard rod. Plenty of floor strengthening was added also.

Also welding the tramp bar brackets firmly in place along with the panhard mount on the axle, Im using a panhard rod, tramp bar setup on it. If I find this isnt upto the job I may switch to something else (stops me getting bored in future)

Also fabricated were the front bar braces which allign to the inner wing strut bracing

Also welded up all the holes not needed in the engine bay.

Also finally got the rear arch tubs fibreglassed

And made another set of coilovers for the old boy (well half way there anyway)

Mirror choice was also finalised
