Full Circuit Drifting @ Lydden Hill Kent 15th Oct

Bargin price IMO,i drifted here for the first time earlier this year taking part in the demo for the BHP show, its fast well spaced giving plenty of room, awsome fast too,I fully recomend it as a track to experience, defo to put on your to skid list,It doesnt come as oftern as it use to so get on it

nice one mate, if the silverstone day gets cancelled ill be up for this. and if not then ill poss be up for it. as ppl say it may be expensive but for me to drive from margate to pod and back and do a day is around £150 and if it all goes wrong then its a long way from home. People complain there is nothing in the south and now there is so consider the fuel costs and time.

Dave, really, you think most people who drift Mallory only do 2 hours on track out of the 8 they can use, don't try and justify the cost that way,Bob

Sorry Bob, didnt' mean to imply anything like that with Mallory specifically. Just trying to put big track days into perspective for people who havnt' done them, and who try to compare to Pod and the like. If you were going 100% at any big fast venue you'd need to pit and change tyres after 15mins. People look at the Lydden days and think they are not getting much for the money when in reality it's very hard to even use the time that you have. It's not as drift friendly to drive as Mallory is due to less types of corner but it's still one of the best tracks out there. If you dont have the luxury of open session like Mallory then you just go at it hard for 15mins and then come in and change your tyres for the next one.

just to back this up,
I did 30 miles worth of drifting @ pod on wens, 25 miles @ silverstone, on a trackday in my pug @ lydden i normally do 120ish miles in 8 x 15mins session. i no it dont sound alot but when u really think about how many miles/ hours you spend drifting in a day it's about the same.

No good saying i might do it, if it get cancelled thats it, there aint gonna be another

poo bags! im on a boat in Europe then otherwise i would have supported you all the way, a local track for skidding is what we defo need, especially as the only organised event we have around here is pure carma, which is wicked but we need proper skid days within short distance! how realistic is it for a price reduction for a full day if we support? ps im no ass kisser but - bob = leg end! always positive even if it is critisism

I think me and Mitch managed 52 miles at Mallory back in February sharing a car

If car is working I WILL be here.

Dave, no worries, as I said the price for the Lydden day is not expensive and I'm hoping to do it myself as i don't get a chance to do anything at Mallory on our own days, hopefully the day will fill up and be a success and will continue on from there, the more venues the better.

if you would get it to be open pitlane like mallory, i bet lost and lots of people from overseas would be intrested!

I can 100% guarantee that you will not manage to do all 8 sessions of a Lydden day if you are good enough to drift the whole track. New tyres will need changing after nearly every 15min session and then it's time to go out on the next session.

Me and the boys (FCM team at the time) went back in 2009. We managed to get out every session but it nearly killed me with changing the tyres and every body elses in the pits on the machine :smash:. Epic day and alway wanted to do it again. Really freindly atmosphere.

Haha, that's hardcore man! I think six or seven was the most I ever managed and I was absolutely trashed by the end of the day! Pretty sure at least one of those sessions I was the only one on track as well. Benefits or a low tuned car!

Still more than likely Ill be able to come, just cant confirm until I know for sure the car is back.
