Full Drift Weekend at Lydden Hill

We even had a quick chat about holding a drifting festival down there later in the year so things are looking good for drifting @ lydden woooohoooooo so well in everyone that was there saturday u done the drifting comunity proud

Is the date of the 12th Dec definatly confirmed?

Also, is there going to be anymore dates between now and then? I, and many other want as much time on that track as possible:thumbs:

mate this would be awesome.. anything to continue drifting at lydden no matter what the weather or the circumstances i will always want to be there as often as i can. lets hope it continues.

Awesome news dude! Had a wicked time on Saturday, will definitely drift any dates that come up at lydden hill again :)

prob wasnt the neighbours complaining. was more than likely the old bill as they are just up the road.
i only know this as i live in new romney.2 mins from lydd.

No the 12th isnt a comfirmed date when i started this thread we were spitballing ideas and possible dates. Yer we plan to have more dates before december just got to go have a meeting with guys at lydden first.
 
im 100% up for this and every other skid day its a mental track ;) 2 days of smoking lydden....... i just did a sex weeee!!!

Afternoon all,
Update...... I been to lydden today and had a long meeting with them sorting a few things out and putting some more dates in the calander

Dates are 30th june (if i can get enough people) 18th august, 15th Sept, 6 Oct, and 24th & 25th nov for the weekender if all goes to plan,

We also dicussed the marshalls and format we run the days, and pricing

With the marshalls i'm going to source them myself so if anyone is interested and has experience please pm me with ur details, and i'll get back to you, i do have a couple of people already, at the moment it will be unpaid but we will provide lunch and it is a really good day out.

The format we're going to use on the days will be open pit lane for 45mins of every hour, with the track closed for 15mins for cleaning clearing cars etc etc, I had to push to get this format lydden would much prefer sessions to OPL, so this is the middle ground we came to, thoughts below please.

As for the amount of cars allowed on each day we have to have a limit of 100 I know you all have resevations about this but in order to keep the £99 per day we need a big turn out to just break even, it roughly costs £8000 to run the days at lydden so really we need a min of at least 80 cars to break even, I do believe it can work with this amount of cars in an OPL format.

I put a thread up for the 30th june in a few hours
 
Sweet! :D lots of dates!! I'll aim for the September one, hopefully use it to test the new clutch when i get it.

I'll check dates later but i'm happy to help marshalling if it means we keep drifting at Lydden, plenty of experience with BDC etc so i'll let you know!
