I now drive an 86

What does a Trueno 86 go for these days? I'd love to drift one... Just floor it in the bends to slide her round!! Mental stuff!

He he. If you find the steering wheel close to your nuts, try to squeeze in with my sweet little belly :o

I've had to move the seat as low and far back as I can, and now I hardly reach the clutch. But I still hit my head on the cage, and I'm only 170cm tall :p

And you think the steering is heavy? Try a shortened rack and max. caster... Nomura did. He couldn't turn the car around to get to the track

Noise, what noise? No noise, just a lot of sound :D

And lack of power? It's almost 200bhp man!!! That's four times as much as a Fiat Punto

But yeah, it's just awsome. I love the car to death as well. It's just so nimble and manouverable. Ok, so you have to wrestle it a little, but to me, that's half the fun

Over here expect to pay £2500 rough up to £4500 for a decent one but they can cost anything their was one in a jap auction going for $27500 USD a few weeks ago.

Whoa! a fair wodge then for one of them little beauties!
I'd love to live out those initial D episodes!!

Are the tuning parts and kits expensive too? As I've never seen one around - especially kitted out for drifting! Just in the Japanese mags/net and vids.

Yeah, me too. I almost felt bad for the guy. And I warned them a lot in advance too. Told them it was hard to drive etc. They probably just laughed in Japanese and figured that a real driver would make the difference. Look who's laughing now :D

Yeah i saw him struggling to do a 3 point turn before hand.. haha :D

Also, do you run maxium caster on the stock tension rods? Or do you have aftermarket rods? Ive adjusted my stock ones out to the max.. Im told thats good for about 4 deg. positive caster? Its cool with powersteerin tho, even the 9j rims dont feel too heavy, but thats probably because of the 185 tyres.. lol

they r not cheap for replacement parts either. for £250 i just manage to get 1 head light, 1 side light and 2 bumper brackets from Mr.T, i still need to get the bonnet, front wing, front bumper, front lip, front indicator, front grill and respray to bring it back to what it looks like b4. forgot to mention the £250 jigging and welding. :( but still love it to bits.

the cheapest i've seen is around £1200 for 2 scrap shell with barely any bits.

Still worth the money though, as they are super realible, cheap to run and cheap to insure, not real expensive bits to go wrong.
Kenny you should try Kiki at Option is was cheaper and loads better than Toyota when he got me bits in the past.
