I'm 27 which i thought wouldn't be too bad when it comes to insurance! I had a UK s14a which was about £700 a year and atm I have my daily 320d insured for £525 a year! I have 9 years ncb but that's used on my daily so I guess I can't use that on another car! I was looking to get a soarer, chaser or skyline but insurance looks to be ridiculous so I won't be able to afford it! Bit disappointed tbh lol

Surely the easy answer here is to put your 9 years NCB on the new high insurance car and start your 0 NCB policy on the safe boring daily?

Yeah agreed that will prob be the best way to do it, the people who the daily is insured with don't do imports so it means cancelling that policy completely which is about a month in but il try and do a multi car with someone that does... Thanks for your help

Adrian Flux are very very good for modified cars. I am 36 with 7yrs NCB but live in a bad postcode so pretty much fucked whatever I drive. Adrian Flux gave me the best price for my Audi TT 225bhp, it's completely standard, but the specialist policy has a modifications clause, I can do ANY modification to my car, and it is a flat rate increase of about £25 or so, and that covers ALL modifications, worth thinking about. The compare sites are utterly shit for anything performance or modified, you need to use specialists.

Also try Lancaster Insurance. And there are a couple of others but I've not used them as they don't cover certain bad postcodes.
