Introduce yourself here :)

Hi there peeps, I'm Joe. I'm currently driving a Nissan Micra as a daily whilst rebuilding my S14. I'm more into circuit racing than drifting but owning an S body it'd be rude to dabble in the occasional drift day :p

Hello Im Jesus im new to drifting, I Drag and circut race alote but have decided to take on drifting
ive been learning how to for a few weeks now, and still in the process of re-setting up my cars suspension.
my down side is my car is automatic.

I have a 2005 Mustang GT with 4.6l V8 turbonetics 70mm single turbo,CAI,SCT tuner,forged internals,
steeda pullies, bbk throttle body,47lbs injectors, corsa full exhaust, k sport coil overs, 19x9.5 axis rims with
toyo, and lsd it puts out 618hp to the crank but 539rwhp 1/4mile in 10.7 not that means much anymore lol.

Hi guys & gals!

I'm a newbie! Joined up a few days ago.. just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself... :D I'm front Wiltshire in England, have a IS200... and saving up to turn her into a lean mean drifting machine (so far it's just a lovely dream, and then I wake up and think... what have I got myself into!)

Anyways... can anyone point me in the direction of the best area to get advice about engine conversions? Im thinking the standard 1gfe has to go for something a bit easier to tune (i.e. 1/2jz?)

Toodles!

Welcome on board fella to black_rose (and the rest of you)

If you want some info on dropping a 1J into your IS200 then drop me an email and I can put you in touch with a local garage whom I just finished tuning a Haltech controlled 1J for in an IS200 :)

Depending on your location I'm sure they can help you. Just let me know if you need further info.

Hello guys & girls, came here just to see how to start drifting. Mainly for my college coursework as I want to be a professional one day :)

steve_fctuning thanks dude! That would be awesome! I'm from Wiltshire so anywhere in that area (or Liverpool/Manchester way as my other half is from there) then it shouldn't be a problem.

I'll probably drop you a message later in the week as I'm currently at work at the moment and cannot use my personal email account! I think the 1jz route is for me now, I would love to put a 2jz in her but heard it can just be a royal pain!

'ello, I'm Oli, but you probably gathered that.
Been lurking a year or so, no 'what car', 'will a welded diff kill everyone around me' or 'how much power do I need' threads from me.
Currently got a Triumph Dolomite (not a Sprint), not even going to attempt to drift it. No power, very fragile and the weakest diff known to man. Hopefully getting an RX7 this year if all goes to plan. Though I might get a snotter of a 320/Sierra/340 to see if I actually enjoy it first without knocking the corners off something I like.
I type too much.

Hello!
Have been here for a while, but just a reader.
Raised in Sweden, but liv right now in Norway. Putting down some time in my Nissan S14 with 270r pakage.
Hope that my new rebuilt engine will start this year so i can live life sideways.

Hi I'm joe, origonally from early Evo fame, now driving a e46 328c.
So far thumbs up, sure it's not as quick as the old evos but the luxury and steer from the rear fun time make up for it.

Hi Driftworks. My name is fish I'm from across the pond and i live in michigan. Ever since i was a wee lad cars have been the only thing that has been able to keep my attention.

I first got into drifting when I inherited my fathers 2007 Ford Mustang GT that is supercharged by an american company named Saleen it also has a new full exhaust system and headers. I do a good amount of drifting around because with right around 500HP its hard not to.
This car is irreplaceable to me due to its sentimental value and i have had no luck finding a good first drift/ project car in the states. Any suggestions?

Michal from Poland, trying to drift for 3 years. I am a car mechanic, I am 21 years old.

Drive:
`91 200SX S13 CA18DET, steel 17x10" and 17x8, 5 "wheels. rear and front overfenders and, LSD, nothing else :)

Morning all. Brad from Cosworth/Triple B Motorsport checking in,

been around the scene for a few years now so bit of an old man but thought its about time I got on here.

Alrighty Folks and mates and homies and domesticated husbands, My names Chad I first UNintentionally slid in my 1984 Foxbody Mustang with ticking valves, almost busted rear end, slippin tranny AND no interior (racecar) NOT my doing, let me see if I can find a picture
Not sure if that will work but shortly after my driveshaft yoke warped! I had no idea of the drift community or culture i'm so pulled into now. I bought an Acura Integra and just started E brake sliding corners for fun. Then I got rid of her for that little Gem in my signature! went to my first local event in Texas with aaron losey running the events, totally rad drifter Chelsea DeNofa is a part of the series hes doing his first FD season this year and the list goes on, all of which are AWESOME guys and I was just sucked in. In October my 4 AC detonated and I had a bit of money and was planning on swapping a 4AGE anyways, had a bit of money and LUCKILY one of the local guys was selling their complete set-up, we hung out and pulled his motor and set it in mine, everything matched up but I ran out of money :/ so its been sitting for a bit. I'll throw up pictures in the correct thread here shortly, I am new this is my first engine swap, theirs a few little things left but I found a great but short job that pays awesome. I am excited to be involved and share a passion with all of you fellows! Our grassroots season starts next Saturday! Cheers!
