iPLAYHARD - Z33 Fairlady Project - Awesomeness!

love it... wheels and suspension make a car! good work that man, as topi said its good to see people fettling with these now

Just decent wheel fitment makes a world of difference to them. Try telling that to the owners club though ....... ;)

Haha yeah, owners clubs just dont get the stance thing usualy lol.

jason - Thanks man!

Stuck a Jimmy Up sticker on today and a Scrape sticker too, looks kinda rad :D

Little update - Not really much happend what with xmas and the shite snow everywhere but -

Brakes were squeeking like a fucker so replaced them with EBC Turbogroove Discs and Yellow Stuff Pads. Braking much better now :D

Also i have a full set of Kinetix adjustable arms etc to go on as soon as the weather improves.

Should really start work on the FC now too!

I have the kinetic arms, the front A arm design is absolute wank
For adjustability. If it's not too late order something else

Car looks mega though, you gonna drift it? :D

Haha it dont really look all that adjustable but nevermind, i already have it

I'm sure it'll do the job!

As for drifting it, I'd like to think so  just depends how far i get with the FC this year. You wired your TC switch to perminently off?

Dont get me wrong it certainly does the job! Just not so good when you go to get your alignment done

Yeh man I really need to add that to my jobs list, I keep forgetting!

How you finding getting around with the ride height?

I get around fine til I see a speedbump then have to stop and slam on the hazards until I can do a U turn haha :D

These cars are really deceptive they dont look THAT low from outside but scrape on everything where as my FC looks lower but dosent scrape much at all. I've all but scrubbed straight through the flexi's :S going to need to replace those soon.

You have a deposit down on Ian's SC on 350zuk dont ya? that made 400bhp didn't it?

I need to wire my switch in too, theres a guide floating about somewhere I think, Just noticed your thread, awesome stuff.

Did you buy your final drive from yahoo japan or one of the dealers?

Yeh mine is a nightmare but I can't bare to raise it up lol!

His made 420 so I'm hoping for the same :D can't wait. He's removing it over the next few weeks and I'll be getting it off him over Easter.

I got it all from rhdjapan.com they do a tomei 2way diff and 3.9 final drive kit. Cost bloody 1300 all in shipped from Japan though!

420hp would be awesome :)

I think i'll end up turboing mine if i start drifting although if an SC came up at decent money I may do that!

Ahhh right, I saw the diff's on RHD but not the drive kit. Worth the money?

It is a mega bit of kit, but a lot of money. I had money to burn at the time so wasn't an issue however now it wouldnt be at the top of my list as the standard diff locks up nice. Done me really well at Santa Pod

Where did you get the carbon lip from?

I wondered wether theyre worth the money or not, hows it feel with the different final drive? Alot faster?

I bought the lip from a friend, but you can get them from EP i think? Its pretty much the same lip. Theyre ok fit but the laquer cracks easy when things hit it, id go for a plastic lip if i could find a decent one.

You using the stock handbrake? mines gash to say the least!

The final drive is a nice difference, but not a massive improvement in acceleration....

Stock handbrake is toss!! I'm looking into a hydro wand, but the way the brakes are set up will be a nightmare to fit. Only way I can see to do it is by removing the ABS and redoing the lines myself.

As the lines coming off the Master cylinder (2 of), 1 goes to the front left and rear right caliper, whilst the other goes to front right and rear left. All via the ABS Block.

So instead of having a line going to the rear of the car off the Master Cylinder, with a T piece splitting to each rear caliper youve got 2 lines.

So its not just a case of cutting in a hyrdo into the rear line :smash:

Right it been ages since i posted in here so here goes a little update...

The Dish was looking a little worn after the winter, so i dcided it was time for a change. After looking at all sorts i decided on BMW e65 wheels which im sure alot of you will have seen :D

The only problem is that the e65 runs 19x9 et24 up front which is far too weak for a Z so i had to chop up a couple of sets for just the 19x10 rears.

Anyhow i ordered up some PCD adapters and got the bad boys fitted :D

After a couple of LATE nights adjusting fitments and DIY rolling of bits of the arch myself and V7MAT got it fitted up nice.

Then slapped the lip back on....

Then we drove down to the fast show at pod as a maiden drive to test it out. Apart from afew spark showers on the a1's crappy surface all went well :D

When we got there we decided no chance we were going to park on the grass and so entered show and shine to park on the concrete :D

Seems people were diggin it by the feedback i got on the day and on the net!

All for now.
