Had 200SX, built it up, drifted it, crashed it, broke it.

Its wise if you see this car at a track-day, stay away.

So now. I bought an Aristo. I want to keep it awesome to drive and comfy, but also drift it on the casual at tracks.

There isnt a lot of info at all with getting an Aristo drift ready with stock electronics and auto box, so its all new to me and possible, most others.

So 9 weeks ago I picked it up. Not a bad price, but quite frankly owned by all I can assume as idiots. Its either been sent to garages for work done, or the DIY work is done by a complete ****ing spastic.

So current Spec since owning it,
Braided Goodridge hoses,
HKS Panel Filter,
Double Decat Downpipe,
3" --> 2 x 2.5" exhaust system, stock style tails,
BC BR Coilovers,
TTE Front Grille, TTE Front lip kit,
GS300 rear subframe to remove ARS,
Carbonetics 2-Way LSD
MC_Bob awesome VSC removal switch.

Future plans,

HKS SLD Type 2,
Drift.

Since owning its had a front wheel bearing which was a PITA without a press. A large engineering vice, industrial pipefreezer and an oven got it in though.. lol..
Then the other bearing went, got annoyed and bought a 20 ton shop press. Took fucking minutes to change!

So here are a few pictures, the last couple are lower, the back will be raised a few mill though as got a bit overexcited!

Ill be dissapointed in myself if the next real update isnt with sideways evidence.

great stuff man, so fresh and so clean :D

how are you finding the BC Coilovers? ive got cusco's on mine and there great for the road and low but they're alittle soft on the rear and bottoms out somtimes when giving it some beans, thinking i should raise it up alittle bit lol

Yup,
Its a kit Ive started making+selling for Aristo Mk2s to fully disable the VSC, TRC and ARS.

New 19s. Drift day in 2.5 weeks.. :D

BC Coilovers are very good so far.

Looking very pimply!
Allways have liked Aristo's, so like that a lot, more so with the new wheels!:D

sent from my HTC Anal Sensation

Good skids dude.. Really need to stiffen that up though by the looks of it, what are your coilovers set to?
Can't wait to get mine done after seeing your pictures...

Haha, I was playing with softening front and back throughout the day to try improve initial turn in grip. It feels real nice to skid though.

Was a real fun day, and great when nothing broke!!

Hope to go back on the 19th..

That looks awesome dude. Seriously want one as a daily myself.

On which note, does yours have the factory double-din Jap headunit with satnav etc? If so, have you worked out how to replace it with a UK headunit by any chance?

Can't replace it with a uk system with out replacing the entire loom. Also cant take the screen out as its all touch screen and controls the heating and audio.

These are so overly complex is unreal but god dam they awesome to drive

No one has bothered to try converting it tbh.
TV wont work as it has to be freeview, and you can just hook up an in car freeview box to the aux port on the jap unit.
Satnav is wank in the GS300 too.

You can change the heating controls to manual ones from the lower spec gs300 and run aftermarket headunit though if u wanted..

Its a sweet car for a daily, diff doesnt skip or anything when cruising. Feels aweeeeeeeeeeesome to drive.

why am i selling my aristo again?

well done man, looks like you had fun lol, dont listen to the haters man, thats just the gangster lean :D

on a serious note though, is that bc coilovers your using as there is some proper travel your getting? time to pop a pink pill and get that fucker stiff ;)

Dude thats just camera angle which makes it look like that. Maybe.

I was mucking about all day with the coilovers tbh.
I havent tried playing with preloads, but I assume thats a dark magic to mess with..

ive never played with preload,, probly for the same reason as you dude, i would just go for some heavier springs if turning the shocks up to full hard doesnt do it?!
