Removed the paint off a stock grill and much prefer it. Also pulled the tint off the lights. Suits it more imo.

So. Bought a house! Then got back drifting. Just a pod day but love them..


Had issues AGAIN with overheating, even with bonnet off, so no idea what to do ? All day I left it at actuator turbo pressure and tried to not floor it.

Havent touched this car in months.

We bought a house, I then quit my job and set up a company, then got engaged.

This cars been wearing me down now and again, and wanted shot of it. However, put in about an ounce of effort and i love it again. Had it over 5 years now.

So few issues to address.

Throttle feel was/is wank. Initially had it setup and installed by MB Automotive. Throttle wasnt nice to drive with. Then went off to Romain at Syvecs to get traction control and other things working which id, and throttle got better. But still not great but didnt want it going away any more.

Looked into the map myself and it was hilariously simple to fix. Theres a couple figures which kick the throttle motor to over come resistance in the linkage. So it tries to jump to the right position to take up lag. This was set so high if you wanted 10% throttle itll jump past that then come back. Just adjusting this its lovely to drive again. So much nicer and can drive it daily with ease.

Next was the gearbox. Im still having issues getting between gear as per years ago, but found the shifter bush was knackered. Go a WELD unit from japan. Taken the slack out the shifter assembly. Will try changing oil in the box before going for a rebuild.

Small leak from front of motor, found there are Orings joining the waterpump to the block. Easy to fix with two new rings.

Attempted to make the exhaust quieter by welding in another silencer. Still loud as fuck. Will make a bung......
I did however take the chance to weld on more hangers and stop the exhaust banging on the car. Also Waxoiled the car.

So hoping to do some drag days. Drift days seem quiet at the moment, and money is quite tight so not sure if I can warrant a trip to driftland!

It needed more fan in hindsight or at least better control of them.

Do you still own the Aristo dude or has it been moved on now?
Enjoyed having a mooch through the thread a while back.
Was you the guy who was also having an issue with the fuel pressure dropping on boost?
