Keeve's Lowstyle S13

So I’ve just done a side by side comparison and I think I have to go back to the vsxx.

Don’t think the big dishy wheels is my thing.

Not much of an update but going to try and do smaller consistent updates to show where the car is now.
Most people will know I’ve been living in London for 2 years now, flying home to work on the car then drive to events, back then fly to London. I’ve decided to take the car to England and cut out the massive journey times for drift days.

So I had a one way flight last week.

Got back to the car and had a few things to do such as alignment, weld in a replacement V band, solder a new fuse into my boost controller (still having issues after STL.) which are all boring shit so don’t have photos of any of this.

Exciting stuff, got a wideband now, always been paranoid about my AFR running a stock ECU with more boost so this will put my mind at ease a bit.

Then as above I’ve been a bit unsure of the Minervas and although I really wanted to build a Review/Enjoy inspired car I just couldn’t hack how “hotboy” the car looked with them. So we are back to the VSXX.

Front needs to come down more, story of my life. Glad I made the decision to keep though.

Gave it a small wash before it’s 8 hour drive down the road.

Then starter the journey, fully loaded with all my tools. Spare vsxx as well as a diff and shafts for a mate.

First 120 miles were a breeze. Chilling at 60 on the A9 then when I got to Perth and had to do the first turn on a roundabout the car snapped and pulled into the right. Thinking that something like a suspension arm had collapsed I crawled into a filling station to find my shaft had exploded.

Filling station repair and I was good to go again.

Next issue was a bird running out into the motorway with no way for me to avoid it. Thinking my splitter would be dead because of it being fibreglass I pulled into the next services. No damage at all apart from a broken cable tie. That’s quality from profitkits!

Made it down to my mates to store it without issues. Now the car is only 2 hours from my house and not far from Rockingham where I’m booked on for the 7th.
I’ll just dump other pictures now as nothing else is exciting.

Oh and I also sorted out a new passenger seat, which is the bride I had been using as I got a new taller one for myself.

Good lad Keeve, if you ever need to use the lift/alignment tools/engine cranes etc at our work in the summer you can, only 5 minutes from Joeys dads! Me or Kane will be able to sort it.

Full hotboi looked promising man !!!

Matching red brides will look cool im on the look out for a matching black Zeta II for mine at the moment

Great journey, not just recent one but overall. This car is legit.

Thanks mate! Just looked back on a few photos to show people examples of stuff and its come a fair way!

Nahhh Hotboi thing is played out as fuck. Wasn't the look I was going for but ended up going that way from the wheel specs and Kouki kit which is a shame.

Sure theres a few black Zeta 2's about just now. Loads in Ireland for sure.

LOOKS FUCKIN ACE MAN
Haha thanks lad! Can't wait for paint and it'll look 10x better.

So I was booked onto rockingham on Monday. Got the train up to the car on Sunday night.

Plans were to re-do my blue front tints but the old residue was too stubborn and I couldn’t be arsed. Did a few small things like fit my seat and new stereo.

kane gave me a shot of his passenger side seat rail so I could run my two brides. I’m so glad I didn’t sell the 2nd zeta.

So I have been struggling with getting my EBC working since I cooked it at STL. I figured my valve was plumbed in incorrectly once I learned how the solenoid diagrams work. Plumbed it in “correctly” and I had boost again!!

...until I realised I was boosting to infinity! Wasn’t sending signal to open or something went wrong with the plumbing. I tried to rejig it and make it work with Kanes greddy solenoid but it was no deals. 2 runs of stock boost on a car that im used to a bit more grunt on and grippy tyres was dogshit. - Luckily I bought a Profec OLED as a spare if I couldn’t get my EBC working again so I smashed that in very roughly, literally the worst you could imagine a boost controller being wired in, it was that.

Once I had boost again, I had a fucking riot. First pass with the EBC working I saw some white paint coming off the wall. Thought “surely not”, checked my spoiler.

Literally the smallest wall scrape possible.

Few more runs in and got closer with the wall.

Finally nearer the end of the day when we were going out in bigger groups I clipped one of the tyre walls without noticing.

Was oblivious to the fact my bumper was in the middle of the course until freddie asked “Keeve mate, where’s ya bumper?”

At this point in the day I was getting problems with my car jumping out of second, which in the middle of trains was doing a real concern to the people following me combined with the fact my fuel gauge was showing only 1/8 tank left I decided to call it. (I then realised my fuel tank float was stuck after fuelling up)
But rockingham days really are as fun as they seem. Great vibe, good people and so fun to not have to worry about track limits. Cutting corners to catch up and big run offs allow for some aggressive driving. Just need to get back into the swing of things for next time!

Also got a spare NS kouki light from Kane to replace my one that’s smashed from the crail crash.

Next up is paint and a refresh. Tempted by rockingham infield day but STL is quite close and not much time to fix the small things I need.

Here’s a dump of action shots from various togs that were there. Thanks for dealing with that bloody heat all day!

Finally getting to drive with my mate Pedro in his Sunoco S14 was fucking sick. He bought his first drift car the day I met him about 3 years ago and have only been able to get to an event together once which was STL1 when my turbo died. Great to get out and drive with him, nice and consistent to get up close and good to see other people were doing the same too!

Also I've tried my hand at filming other people and doing a proper edit for Rockingham. I had 4th Chamber mixed in perfectly with the Shogun Assassin clip but fuckin youtube wouldn't have any of it and kept blocking my video from using the video footage so had to crop which is a pain in the arse.

Highlights include the bumper removal, Dan hitting my bumper, almost killing Jan, some questionable entries.
