WTF is going on these days are brilliant ,why are people not booking ,If i had the money i would book the day myself and all would be welcome ,Get booking
 
I love Lydden, haven't been for years and If I didn't have an event of my own that weekend I would make the 6 hr drive.

Get booked in folks!
 
I spoke to the lady on the phone today and they said they are still debating weather or not they are going to cancel. I told her I'm booking mid week but we defo need more drivers on this.
 
Well here's what I think.

This is a brilliant track and longterm it could easily be a firm favourite on the Driftday calender.

But you can't expect people to interrupt their busy schedules and interrupt other commitments to be there. It's not that they aren't booking because they can't be arsed, it's just that they've other things to do. Once you get an event like this moving and you get it in peoples heads that it's every month or every 2 months or whatever you'll get the numbers.

In order to achieve this you need either deep pockets to stand a loss for a couple of months or a venue who will work with you on reduced rent until it picks up. Which it will of course, it's an awesome track.

I really hope this can go ahead, it would be a real shame to lose it out of shortsightedness.
 
Well said! Lydden is great and I hope it stays available for future practicingingings.

Buxton started off with 6 cars in attendance, most of whom writing them off, and now we have 100 drivers sign on over a weekend. That doesn't happen straight away!
 
how come bdc license day only require 64 drivers at £99 where these days require 100 or so drivers at same price??

are bdc footing some of the extra bill?
 
I can't believe they are still aiming for 100 cars!

Last time I went there were only 80 and that was busy as hell

Last 2 events weve had the full 100 cars weve had to turn people away on the day cos were full

Lydden are considering canceling this date people need to book now or call the office to at least get there names down
Its your last chance to practice before the Bdc day
 
I called the office this morning, he couldn't take a booking at the time, been told ill get a call back in a couple of days. No indication of it being cancelled though

when will this likley be confirmed either way? its my Birthday weekend so wanna make sure im doing something fun if this gets cancelled...
 
whats the crack if im bringing up some wheels and tools ect on the day in the daily car, obviouslt it will need to be with the cars that are skidding because its all the stuff needed to fix ect, can my daily be in the open pit lane thing with the guys im with?

Tried calling today a few times to book.

No answer

Got pissed off trying. Can't keep trying as I work during office hours!

It's 2012 now... Why not have a online booking thing!!? Like pod as an example...
 
Just putting my name down for this, have been to the last 2 days and its worth every pound ;)
Trying to get everything sorted with the office tomorow.
 
there wasnt even a answer m/c so I could leave a message, with number for them to ring me back when they had the time :wack:
