BDC FTW!
Ladies and gents

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year to you all.

Now the festive period is over is time to bring you news of the upcoming season of the Maxxis British Drift Championship 2011.

Here are the dates and locations for the 2011 season.

There will be 5 championship rounds for the Semi Pro and Professional class and 6 rounds for the Super Professional class.

Round 1.

22nd and 23rd April

We return to the Launch Pad at Donnington Park. 2010 saw the tightest of battles in both classes with Mark Luney Taking a first win for the SATS Toyota Supra.

The track will be designed to push every driver to the limit and this wonderful venue with its large open space is ideal for spectators.

Round 2.

20th, 21st and 22nd May

Taking place over 3 days to incorporate the annual BDC Team Triple competition.

Norfolk Arena is the perfect venue for the closest of battles with the fans getting the up close and personnel.
A full day of practice on Friday allowing for the championship event to take place on Saturday and the finals will run under flood lights of Saturday evening.

Sunday will see the running of the Triple Drift Team event which is part of the constructors championship.

Round 3.

2nd and 3rd July

For the first time in 3 years we make a welcome return for many to THE perfect track for drifting in the UK.

The BDC has worked behind the scenes to reopen this as a venue for drifting.

Teesside Autodrome has seen many a battle over the years, the track is a special place for the BDC, the first ever BDC event took place here at the start of 2008 and gainied special recognition from all involved within the drift world.

For the first time at Teesside the main track will be used over the 2 days, this will be an event not to be missed in 2011.

Round 4.

20th and 21st August

We head north of Edinburgh to Knockhill Circuit.

This venue hosted the final round of the 2010 season and was spectacular to say the least. The blind entry at Seat Turn after the long run from the startline has the drivers’ holding their breath and hearts pounding.

Round 5. (Super Pro only)

4th September

For the first time the Maxxis British Drift Championship and joined forces with Trax to provide drifting and the home of British Motorsport – Silverstone.

As the main attraction of show for 2011 we will see the best of the best do battle on the famous Silverstone tarmac.

Round 5. (Semi Pro and Pro)
Round 6. Super Pro

The BDC heads north once again, this time we head to Sunderland on the 24th and 25th of September and the Nissan Factory Co. Durham.

This venue gives the BDC a chance to create another bespoke track to push the boundaries of track design. The event to take place over 2 days will be the finale to the season.

If the 2010 championship is anything to go by we are in for another ground breaking year and we want YOU to be a part of it.

More details of other events will be announced as we move closer toward the start of the season.

We have an additional two licensing days planned, one at Mallory Park and one at Teesside Autodrome, so keep your eyes open for an announcement with full details.

Licence renewal and 2011 Fabricage group buy to follow this week.

Many thanks

The BDC team.

Great calendar apart from Trax - after the farce that was JDM Silverstone last year I think it's a huge mistake to host a round at that show.
