MX5 Drift / Hovercraft style Kit
Afternoon All, Right figured id pop this up here and see what if any there is an interest.
Please Note : AT THE MOMENT - THIS IS NOT A GROUP BUY!
A Member named Gav on MX5Nuts posted up a thread asking if anyone was keen for this, however I dont think it ticks many boxes for them, Hence why im posting here.
We have been looking into getting a version of the Arios Drift kit for the NA MX5 however with Import fee's and the likes its pushing the total way up! Not to mention from experience, when you bash a bumper into a million bits waiting for 6 weeks to get a replacement isnt always an option.
NOW, We have spoken to Repli-Kits (seem to have changed their name to aerokit) and they have told us if we can get a group buy of 5 people commited, then they will make this kit them selfs and told us it should be easy for them.
Iv usually been an EPRacing man and bought all my parts from them, The only time iv seen a replikit car was at JAE 2 years back and wasnt overly impressed with the quality, however Iv seen on here people do speak highly of them.
Now your going to be asking for prices right. I'll copy what was said on mx5nutz.

Gav said:He said that he would need a min of 5 buys to invest in making molds etc. working out at just under £500 each for front bumper/side skirts/rear bumper. then it would prob be posted on there site as a regular product.
in order to do this he will need an NA mx5 in the shop for a period of time. if anyone wanted the "fenders" arches done he would need a car for longer.... so if anyone has a drift shed- non daily driver and is interested thats the starting point. who ever loans the car to replikit would get a discounted price and if i remember rightly he said a deal on fitting and spraying too!
I spoke to someone from replikit in april so prices may have varied and im not sure of exact prices or how long he would need the car. just thought i would put it out there and see what you guys thought???
