they are a great start out car,and a lot of fun when you get them going reasonably fast.had a right laugh in my friends one,and when i jumped back in my 200 gave me a bitmore respect for people who drift 5's really well .

And you'll be out-drifting loads of s-body drivers in one too after a bit of practice
After a drift experience I'am after a mx5 aswell and people say after drifting a Mx5 other cars are a bit simpler to drift. Who needs more than 2 seats these days
Have you had your first drift day yet? Im looking into drifting too and im swaying towards the mx5 route.
It seems im in a very similar position as you my friend. Im also 17, I bought a 1996 318i for 300 quid, put coilovers on it and welded the diff, im looking to take it to santa pod but its proving very difficult for me to get the car + loads of tyres up there because no one will insure me!? i dont really know what to do!
