I was going to buy one last month (n/a) on closer inspection i found most of the bodywork was now part of the floor, i thought against it, surprisingly

Thought the headgasket thing was down to the headbolt torque being set too low from factory or something? Or is that a myth?

Its true blue. Take the covers off (not as quaick as it sounds ) torque them down right (the correct way of doing it with figures etc is on one of the MK3 sites, like sogi MKiii.com etc) and they are usually alright, if they havn't already started going.

Other thing is have a spare turbo on hand if you can get one, its surprisingly easy to, umm, snap the centre shaft
