Finally have bonnet and lowwer valance and tailgate done, just the grill and bumper to finish.

Cheers for the coments the home made bucket seats are painted and starting to cover them with closed cell foam, cannot cut it nicely for shit but hey wont look to bad with a slight sanding of the edges.
 
Done the bumper and grill.
But now it has decided not to run.
Have checked all powers to coils and injectors but still nothing, it’s getting fuel and sparking but not running, replaced the cas sensor its trying and does a little rumble every now and then but wont start.

Finally got it running again after new ecu cas sensor spark plugs it was the bloody alarm!!!!!!!!
Took the battery off to charge it and i refitted it it started straight up.
Suppose with it sitting around for 10yrs in a damp garage really didn’t help.

Rear tub is nearly done wheel arch covers are fitted and siliconed up. Just waiting for it to dry the stick the rear rubber mat down.

New steering wheel fitted just trying to tidy up the inside.

Its not properly but at least it runs again have to have a proper inspection of all of it before it goes up for sale.
Its like a rev limiter hitting about 3-3500rpm it almost sounds like over boost but wont rev even with a small amount of throttle. And the exhaust manifold is glowing red so it’s getting enough fuel? Very strange.
 
Cut and fitted the rubber mat in the bed just need to glue it down.
Had the truck running sweet and now its back to not starting again. Really doing my head in now. Stripped the whole alarm out thinking it was that gone faulty but still nothing. Have to start on the wiring loom now cheak every connection and earth to make sure its ok.

So while its not running its time to sort out the exhaust leak!
Was pretty manifold gasket and turbo gasket were both shot.
So removed everything vapour blasted the manifold and wastegate, there were a few cracks inside the manifold so welded them up aswell.
Fitted new garret turbo gasket and a siruda manifold gasket from jdm.
Also have another cas to try when its back together.

Hi I replaced the spark plugs again as all six had died, they were brand new a few months ago and all of them had continuity through the tip to earth so another set of new ngk iridiums fitted and it was running again.
Then it decided not to run again. Im leaning towards the map2ecu being the culprit as if i earth the maf signal wire it would run but not properly. So ive emailed them to try and get it repaired or replaced and then go from there.
 
Well massive thread revival been a long time since posting. Mabe the longest running thread on dw nearly 14yrs . Finally finished the truck the problems i had were with various wires which had snapped from being so old and thrown in a box while building. Ive made a few changes new seats harnesses, full service including cambelt waterpump .Just got to sort out its mot and it will be ready for its maiden voyage.

Been up to luton festival of transport and the yakushi show now, truck is running sweet just need to fit an oil cooler as the engine bay is so much more compact than the r33 one there is not enough air flow around the engine.
Apart from that been adjusting the mapping and now crusies around nicely at 14.5 afr and on full boost is 11-12.5afr so im getting there.
