so had the old girl up to give her underside a rub off and a bit of TLC. Sprayed her with some epoxy rust proofing then some paint. Got a bit of the dreaded rot on the back of the sills/onto the rocker panel so its going to go for a full chassis restoration and at that time have some suspension mods done. Other than that I'm doing some custom work on the exhaust. Swapping it over to v bands and things. Threw new bushing on the hangers on also. Going to be adding a s13 non hi as sub frame along with the gktech weld in reinforcement brackets and all solid mounts and all freshly powder coated
so more parts have come in! And the car is booked in to have the motor swap at last! Woo! Also bought a new diffuser from First Moulding Japan! only test fitted in the pics and is sitting lower than it will when its fully bolted on bit a couple inches.
Popped up to see how Ron was getting on with the old girl. Just the fuel system to wire up and the brackets to swap over and then fit the new intercooler pipework when it comes in. He added one of his catch tanks and power steering tanks too. And also rebuilt the pump and took the back half off so the hicas has totally gone!
So she's back home although one of the injectors has packed up so will be replacing those and then it will be off to the Dyno haha. Also picked up my Gktech billet diff housing mmm
Haha neither can I! Had the thing for 13 years now! Going to hopefully doing alot of resto work this year to get things like new as well. Well that's the plan anyways haha
Thanks dude. I'm flat out at work right now so as soon as I can I'll be putting new Injectors in and then taking if for mapping then crack on with the chassis resto work!
so got the plugs changed out along with the injectors! Although I ran out of sunlight so had to work in the dark with lamps was definitely masively over fueling! also found that one of the springs in a coil pack was missing! So got to replace that now! Hopefully It will be running again very soon
